George A. Brown born 1826 Greene Co Ga.
He moved with his parents William M. Brown & Amanda Gray to Crawford Co Ga by 1829.  His Father had dealings in Marion Co Ga by 1834, but is still in Crawford in the 1840 Census. George is shown 10/15
1843-1846- Father was still in Crawford-1846 in estates of Talbot.  Still in Crawford 1849
1847-13 May he married Julia P. Raines dtr of W. Nathaniel and Rebecca Jackson in Crawford Co. Ga.
1849-he was elected Rep. of the Whig party Jun. 12 and bought land Oct. 12- Marion.
1850- his Father Wm. M was in Marion-with new wife-married
1849 Bulloch Co. He was Marshall of Ga.

1852-His wife Julia P. died Mar. 20, after giving birth to William Nathaniel Mar 7. She is buried in Marion-Buena
Vista-City Cemetery.
1854-Nov. 8- George married Georgiann V. Holland Nov 8 in Jasper Co. Ga. He is shown a Mason-still in Marion.  He sold land in Oct. of that year.
1856-He is shown in Sumter-several times- suing to collect fairly small amounts of money. (From Original Sumter Records)

1864-12 Sep. Laura Welsh Brown was born dtr of George & Lorette. George and Lorette were divorced. It is not known what transpired between him and wife #2.

I would like to know what happened to the dtr. by 2nd wife, and what happened to the only child by #3 Laura Welsh Brown and Theo. Davies Rockwell-Rebecca Laurette born 1899. She married a Bowers and died 1984.

Rodolphus "Dolly" married Dawson, Terrell, Ga., and later moved to Dade Co. Fl.

Wm. Nathaniel "Nat" took out his licence in Randolph, but married in the home of his Grandfather Wm. M. Brown-to Mary Jane McMichael also of Marion-earlier. dtr of Thomas Jeff. & Mary Jane Aven.

Rebecca Alberta married Daniel Burkhalter in Sumter, and she died in 1879- Silver Sp. Fl. after the birth of one known child- Brown born 1869 died 1893.
