(Lois Newman was truly the historian for Haralson County having spent over 20 years assembling information for her book "Haralson County, A History".
Her work surpasses all others. She was a neighbor and the mother of my best friend during my childhood. Our country lives were built around the
Steadman Baptist Church activities including Sunday School. BTU, socials, picnics and influenced our lives in a positive way. Liz Robertson)

Preface: "Let your lights so shine before men that seeing your good works will glorify your
father which is in heaven. Therefore, we are commanded to maintain good works. It will cause those that are
in darkness to see light. It will subdue darkness and develop light, for where this light shines darkness cannot
comprehend it. Just let your lights shine."
