Robert E. Lee Burroughs Robert E. Lee Burroughs was born 5 Oct 1863 in Madison County, and died in May 1914. He was the son of John Alexander Burroughs (1823-1911) and his wife Elizabeth B. Allen (1823-1906). Robert married Elizabeth Ware on 28 Oct 1883 in Madison County. Elizabeth was born August 1860 in Rusk County, Texas and died 19 Dec 1946 in Madison County.
