Lloyd J. Rogers and unidentified man at the mill

"I remember the Rogers Mill sign over the front door. It was probably done in the early to middle 1930s.  It was painted by a man who lived in Danielsville by the name of Eulis Payne. It was black letters on a yellow background, and down in the lower right corner he  painter in small letters "Payne Sign." I think Mr. Payne had a regular job and signs were a side line. He shows up in the 1930 census as living in Danielsville. He must not have been there very long."

The bridge over this stream (right) may
have been in the area behind the mill.
