Robert Thomas Rogers was born 13 Dec 1844 in Jackson County, Georgia.  He was the son of William S. Rogers and Cementha Elizabeth Stapler.  He was married in Madison County on 1 Sep 1864 to Mary Elizabeth Clarissa Smith, daughter of William M. Smith and Martha "Patsey" Bowman. 

Robert and Mary are pictured here with their two youngest daughters, Annie Rogers (1885-1976) and Stella Rogers (1889-1970).
