The Monroe County Historical Society has shared with us the 1916 Monroe County Georgia Educational Survey.
The survey is based on the school year 1913-14 and describes conditions at each of the 36 schools. Also included is a picture of each school listing the teacher(s), principal, grades, number of students, etc.

The number of students in the four classes is 86. The trustees received from the acadamie fund last year the sum of $171.00 which has been expended for repairs of the Female Academy. It will be recollected that the same trustees . both male & female academies at this place.
