The Monroe County Historical Society has shared with us the 1916 Monroe County Georgia Educational Survey. The survey is based on the school year 1913-14 and describes conditions at each of the 36 schools. Also included is a picture of each school listing the teacher(s), principal, grades, number of students, etc. Should you happen to have an old photograph of any of the individual classes from these schools, please submit to me and I will include them on this page. Send to: Liz Robertson.
