CONFEDERATE HOSPITALS - MONROE COUNTY
In conjunction with the Confederate Cemetery in Forsyth, there were at least
three hospitals in Monroe County that treated the wounded. Several articles
have been posted discussing the hospitals.

It is interesting that one nurse, Honora Sweney is, I believe, the only female
buried at the Forsyth Confederate Cemetery. She was a nurse. She is
mentioned on the Historical Marker for the cemetery.
