On Dec. 10, 1825, the legislature returned the land north of Elkin's Creek in
northwest Upson County to Pike County (Ga. Laws

Henry and Pike Counties.

the South Boundary of the lot and running Eastward until it crossed Sandy Creek,
then down
Sandy Creek to its confluence with the Ocmulgee River, all the land North of this
line was taken and create part of Butts
County.
