Georgia Oglethorpe County To the honorable the Judge of the Superior Court; The humble petition of Thomas Miller showeth that your petitioner is a native of the county of Donegall of the Kingdom of Great Brittain and has resided in the State and the United States the span of time required by law and humbly prays to become a citizen of the United States according to an act of Congress granting rights of citizenship to aliens and your petitioner will ever pray.

Personally appeared before me Thomas Miller who being duly sworn according to law maketh oath and saith that he has resided in the United States for five years and in this State three years.

Personally came before me Thomas Miller who being duly sworn deposeth and saith - I, Thomas Miller, do solemnly swear that it is my wish and intention to become a citizen of the United States and I do hereby renounce all allegiance & fidelity to any foreign Prince, State, or Sovereign or Potentate whatever and particularly the King of Great Brittain and Ireland whose subject I last was. I do further promise fidelity & allegiance to the constitution of the United States and to defend & support the government of same, so help me God.
