Dr Henry Branham

Dr Henry Branham was the first physician who settled in Putnam and his reputation for skill in his profession is equal to that of any

practioner in Georgia. He was born 26 Jan 1789, Walker, Georgia.  Dr Henry Branham married Verlinda Harris Brandon, 3 Jan 1811,

Putnam Co GA.  Dr Branham died 14 Aug 1857, Eatonton, Putnam Co GA and Verlinda died 6 Jan 1851 in Eatonton.

They had children Walter Richardson Branham (born 18 Nov 1813, Putnam Co GA, a beloved and gifted Rev who was for many years a

prominent Methodist preacher in Georgia) and Isham Harris Branham (born 28 Jan 1828, Eatonton, Putnam Co)

Among Dr Branham's ruling passions was that of gaming, very common then among respectable people.  As soon as he was converted

he sought out the men from whom he had won money and returned it to them.  He was from that time forth a leader in all good

things.
