Lott-Spears

Few announcements of the season will center more interest than that made by Mrs JT Jackson of the
engagement of her niece, Miss Bessie Mae Lott to Mr Chester W Spears, the wedding to take place in
June.

Descended from prominent families of South Carolina, Miss Lott is the eldest daughter of the later Mrs
Minnie Bryant Lott and Jacob C Lott, of Aiken County, SC. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs Ella
Crage Bryant and Henry L Bryant of Aiken. Miss Lott has a magnetic personality which has made for her
a wide circle of friends. She has been numbered among popular members of the younger set of Georgia
and South Carolina.

Mr Spears is a popular young Augustan and is the son of Mrs Ester Baker Spears and Edwin L Spears,
formerly of Thomson, Ga.

Following the marriage the couple will reside in Augusta.

Spears-Lott

A marriage, the announcement of which will be of cordial interest to many friends through out this section
was that of Miss Bessie Mae Lott to Mr. Chester W. Spears, which was beautifully solemnized yesterday
afternoon in the presence of relatives and a few close friends. The bride was beautifully gowned in a
frock of aqua blue with accessories of white. Her hat was a close fitting model in white and her flowers
were a corsage of sweetheart roses.

Immediately after the ceremony the young couple left for New York and other points of interest. On their
return, they will be at home to their many friends at 1119 Greene St.

Mrs. Spears is the daughter of the late Mrs. Minnie Bryant Lott and Jacob Lott, of Aiken, SC. She is the
granddaughter of the late Mrs. Ella Cage Bryant and Henry L. Bryant, of Aiken, SC.

Mr. Spears is the son of Mrs. Ester Baker Spears and Edwin (Edward) L. Spears, formerly of Thomson,
GA. He is connected with Sears, Roebuck and Co., where he is held in high esteem by his associates.
