Hayes-Reeves Wedding Quietly Solemnized

A marriage, the announcement of which will be of cordial interest to may friends throughout this section,
was that of Tuesday, April 14, in Aiken, when Miss Hilda Inez Reeves and Mr John C Hayes plighted
their vows. There were no attendants and no previous announcement had been made.

The bride was beautifully gowned in a frock of Grecian rose, with accessories in blond. Her hat was a
close fitting model in blonde, and her flowers were a corsage of sweetheart roses. Immediately after the
ceremony the young couple returned to their own home, 818 Liberty Street.

Mrs Hayes is the daughter of Mrs Jessie Bryant Reeves and the late William R Reeves and is a strikingly
lovely young girl of the brunette type. A natural charm and a very lovable nature, have endeared her to a
wide circle of friends. Mrs Hayes is a popular Augustan who is associated with the firm of Whaley
Brothers. A genial nature and his strict attention to business have given him a substantial place in the
opinion of his associates.
