Query: Does anyone have knowledge of James Oscar Aiton died Jan 4, 1939
buried in Magnolia Cem  Parents Edward and Unknown Pendleton from
Edgefield, SC

Need information on REV. ROBERT ALLEN who appears in the following from the "Southern
Christian Advocate". Departed this life in Richmond Co., GA, on the 30th of June, MRS.
MARTHA RHODES, consort of WILLIAM J. RHODES, and daughter of the REV.
ROBERT ALLEN and his very poius wife, who were among the early Methodist of
this country. . . Brothersville, July 15, 1843. J.C.S

Would appreciate help and information on my G-G-G-Grandfather "Isaac ATWOOD"
believed to have been in the Richmond Co. area from 1766 until his death in 1791.

I have had a brick wall for years.  I'm trying to find the birthplace and his parents. of  Larkin
Barnet; my maternal ggrandfather.  He was born in 1802, and d. in 1862 in Lindale, Floyd
co., GA.., (this information from his tombstone in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Rome, Floud Co.,
GA.  Some think he was orphaned.  His father might be a William and then her was reared
by a Nathan Barnett.  As you probably  know, the woods are full of Nathans. It is possiible
that his ancestors came to Rijchmond Co., from Va.

Providing information on James Barron, who was born in Ireland and died 11 January 1899,
in Augusta, Ga. He and infant son, James Patrick Barron, who died 30 July 1895, are buried
in the (City)Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, Ga. James Barron lived in Augusta for 8 years.
His wife was Mary, whom he may have divorced after 1888 according to the City Directory
of Augusta. He lived on Marbury St. James had brothers John,& Daniel and sister Sarah
Barron McQuade who all lived in US. We are trying to link James Barron to Temperance
Cooper of Emanuel County, Ga. abt. 1885.Her daughter was Katie Cooper Johnson. The

Hi, I am in search ofanyone with info on a Berry Arrington and a Lizzie Taylor from
Jefferson Co,Ga and also info on Walton Thomas Barton he was from Jefferson Co,Ga
as well he married Mammie Lee Stewart there aswell, I need info on his family or anyone
who knows anything about his parents I was told he was adopted there but not real sure
of this I am sure someone there knows somethinghe is buried in the church cemetry in
Matthews,Ga at a Mt.Marriah Camp Ground in which they attend I think.please help in

I am searching for any information on an Alexander Hamilton Baxley, Joseph Allen Baxley,
Martha Amelia Mims (or Mimms) and Emma Evans Cooper from Augusta/Hephzibah
Georgia area, between 1818 and 1860.

Searching for info.on Edward Thomas Bennett,my grt.-grandfather. He was a judge in
Augusta,Ga. early 1900's...his law office was located on Ellis St. between 8th & 9th streets.
He was married to Mary Amelia Karkau.They lived in the Dublin area of town, on 10th St.

Looking for any information on Josiah Blackston/Blackstone. He's the father of George
Washington Blackston. 26th Alabama Co. G. roster said he was born in Richmond County,
Georgia about 1810. I have information on the Blackston's to share.

I am seeking info on DOCK BLACKSTONE (poss. Dick, Richard, William Dottard,
Zepheniah) b. Richmond Co. (Augusta) ca 1837, GA, m. Phleffein ELLIS on Oct. 15, 1856
in Richmond County, GA, Phleffein b. Edgefield Co., SC ca 1840. Dock's son was James
Coleman BLACKSTONE (my ggf), b. ca 1863, d. 10 Mar 1933, in Augusta, GA (Richmond
Co.), m. Susan Ann HUTTO in Augusta, GA. Susan Ann HUTTO family from SC.
According to my gf, James COLEMAN, had 5 bro. and 2 sis.(Josephine, John, Ed, Alf,
W.O.Z., Mattie, L.N.) and spoke Creek or Cherokee Indian language. Dock is listed in
James Coleman's death certificate as his father. Any help would be appreciated. I have

i am searchinf for info about my father leroy cornelius bonner who i believe was killed in
richmond county in the late 70's. i am seeking anyone who may have known of him or
could be a relative of his. i was just a toddler when he died and want to know about him.
i assume he was from this county because i was told he came from ga.

Query: I am trying to identify John BRADY who was a resident of Richmond
Co as of 1777.  Any leads would be mostwelcomed.

My great grandfather Harrison BRAY is supposedly buried in a cemetery in Augusta, Ga.
He may be listed as William Harrsion BRAY or even Harrison B. Bray. He was born 1873
and married Ida Mae Hansford in 1890. Thanks for any information.

James Buchanan and Jane Chambers were married July 9, 1797 in Richmond Co., GA. There
was a marriage bond. I have been unable to find any information on these folks. I think that
Jane Chambers may have been my GG Grandmother after she either divorced James
Buchanan or he died because when she married my GG Grandfather, Wiley Hailes she had
a daughter, named Susan Jane Buchanan. If I can determine who was on the marriage bond I
might have a better chance at finding these folks. Any other information will be appreciated

Im looking for info on a Horace BUSCH that married an Elizabeth BLACKSTONE. He died
@1905-6 and Eliz. gave their son Chester BUSCH to Horace's sister Lottie who was married
to a Mr. JOHNSON. Chester took the name of Chester BUSCH JOHNSON. She later
remarried to an E.L. Richmond and had a dau Frieda. Chester was b in MI in 1903 but lived
in the Augusta area and died there in Dec 8 1969. Any of these names ring a bell with anyone??

Believe buried in Magnolia Cemetery with wife Alma Lucille Moore Cashin, born 1
March 1919, dec'd 21 October 1968 - both lived and died in Augusta, Ga.

Looking for Chancey family buried in Richmond Georgia Especiallyin the Blythe Baptist
Church Cemetery, Georgia.

Query: Trying to find information on William W. CLARK married to Sarah BAILEY
Richmond Ga. 2-20-1800. Did they come from North Carolina and move on to Decatur Co.?

Query: I am looking for a Seaborn Clarke. He was a partner in a law firm
known as Ramsey and Clarke and was possiblely a brother to my
GGGrandmother. They were originally from Morgan County. This firm was in
business in 1850 time period as I have records when they settled an
estate for my Ancestor.

I am searching for a photo of the monument of Col Benjamin Cleveland.  I found the following:
An excellent sketch of the life of Colonel Benjamin Cleveland is given in the oration at the
unveiling of his monument. The following article was taken from The Augusta, Georgia,
Chronicle, July 29, 1887:

"A REVOLUTIONARY HERO

"HONORING THE MEMORY OF COL BEN CLEVELAND

"UNVEILING OF THE MONUMENT AT FORT MADISON -- SIX LITTLE GIRLS OF

Can anyone help?  Benjamin CLEVELAND was my 6th great grandfather who married
Mary GRAVES.  Any information appreciated.

I'm looking for any info on Joseph Cobb and his wife Rachel Ellis.  They had at least nine
children born there between 1780 and 1791.I am at a brick wall on who Joseph and Rachel
were and where they were from.

I'm looking for help on identifying the Cobb families of the Richmond Co, GA are in the
1770s. I specifically need a copy of the following record in the courthouse. This book no
longer exists in the courthouse but the clerk named Ralph told me that there was a microfilm
record that would have that info. Is there anyone who can help? Book J. p 416?. Cobb,
Nathaniel to Charles McDade on 12 20 1797, for 42 lbs 100 a on Spirit Creek.

Researching DAVES 1787 Tax Payments, William Barnett was the Collector of Taxes, he
lsits people who have over paid and have not paid taxes for 1787, in this list is mentioned
"Daves, Wm.,estate of". Any information on the DAVES family of Georgia would be
appreciated. Also, my GGGrandmother was Rebecca Ann Vermillion, born about 1785,
I do not know the name of the DAVES she married. Cal Daves

Am looking for info on Alexander Deas. Where he came from and any information on
Parents and Grand Parents. 

I am looking for the parents/ancestors of Zelphia DELK, b. 1799 in Washington Co., GA.
Zelphy/Zelpha/Zelphia was listed in the 1805 GA Land Lottery as an orphan from Richmond
Co., GA.  She was Drawer No. 791 and drew a Blank.  She married Robert GAWLEY in
Wilkinson Co., GA in 1820.  Zelphia and Robert Gawley later moved to Stewart Co., GA
where they raised a family.  Zelphia died there in 1856 and is buried in the Lumpkin, GA
Cemetery.  Zelphia may have been named for the "Zelpha Delk" who was kidnapped by
Indians that had killed her mother and four siblings in Liberty Co., GA in 1773.  That Zelpha
subsequently escaped from the Indians, was taken in by a family and later married one of
their sons, and settled in Louisville, GA.  Any info on Zelphia Delk Gawley will be appreciated.

DUFFY:  Looking for information about family members; passenger records; and Ireland.
Duffys of Augusta, Georgia: The Duffy family immigrated from Ireland to Savannah, Georgia,
and settled in Savannah, Georgia.

Census Records:
Census records for the Duffy family show them living in Augusta.  Mr. Duffy was a cooper
with a large family.  A Mary Sullivan also lived with the family, perhaps a cousin or
other relative.

Thomas William Duffy:
My great, great grandfather, Thomas William Duffy, lived in James and Clinton, Jones
County, Georgia. He is mentioned in "The History of Jones County"  as a two-term state
legislator.  ("The History of Jones County" currently is being reprinted and is available
to June).  Thomas William Duffy also worked for the railroad and post office and owned a store
in James, Georgia.  He was married in Jones County, Georgia, to Ida Warren Mitchell Duffy.

Emmett Duffy, their son and my granduncle, is also mentioned in "The History of Jones
County" as one of nine men serving from Jones County in World War I.

Any Duffy or Sullivan relations with information--it would be greatly appreciated.
