Twelve Months Allowance of Mrs H J Richardson. Filed in office, 1 Jan 1866 by J P Freeman, Ordinary of Whitfield County to Duke Richardson, Henry Brooker,

John Prichett, M P Berry and Wm R Long.  These are to authorize and empower you or any three of you whose names are written above to attend at the late residence

of H J Richardson deceased and assess and set apart out of the estate of said deceased support and maintenance sufficient for the use of Mrs A  m Richardson, widow

and 5 minor children of said deceased for the terms of 12 months and also to set apart a sufficient amt of the household furniture of deceased for their use. Witness my hand

 and official signature 27 Dec 1865, J P Freeman, Ordinary.

 

We the undersigned commissioners appointed by the Ordinary for said County to assess and set apart the sum necessary for the support and maintenance of the widow

and 5 minor children of H J Richardson, late of said County, deceased. Have met at the residence of said deceased and taking into consideration the condition of the family

 and estate of said deceased have assessed as the sum necessary for that purpose $675.00 and have in addition to that sum set apart for the use of the family of deceased all

the household furniture including all the beds, bed clothing, and furniture and all the cooking utensils and dresser ware which we have appraised at the sum of $155.00 and we

 have set apart form the estate of deceased the following articles to be included in the whole sum assessed for the use of the family of deceased at the appraisement annexed to

 each article.

 

4 hogs $75.00

2 cows $65.00

1 sow and 6 pigs $20.00

45 bushels corn $56.25

1 crib shucks $6.00

2 pigs    2.00

1 bay horse about 15 years old $30.00

1 bay horse colt    25.00

1 bay horse colt $30.00

10 head sheep $30.00

1000 bushels fodder $20.00

1 yoke oxen $75.00

1 red yearling $8.00

1 spotted calf $6.00

1 wagon $40.00

1 cross cut saw $5.00

1 log chain $2.50

4 pol axes $4.00

1 broad axe $2.00

1 drawing knife $.50

4 plow and 2 single trees 4.00

1 scythe and cradle $3.00

10 bushel oats $7.50

1 paid haines and 1 auger $ .50

cash to be paid by summer $157.75

 

All of which is reported and respectfully submitted to the ordinary of said county which duty we have faithfully discharged according to the best of our skill and ability. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals.  This 30 Day 1865
