To Jeremiah Ray, Augustin Harris, Thomas J Spriggs, Andrew Love and Aaron Cantrell, these are to authorize and empower you whose names are
above written to attend at the late residence of Joseph Suttle deceased as appraisers to assess and set apart out of the estate of said deceased support
and maintenance sufficient for the use of Mary Suttle widow of the said Joseph Suttle deceased for the term of twelve months and also for her use a
sufficient amount of the household furniture. Witness my hand and official seal. 2 Nov 1865. J P Freeman Ordinary.
We the undersigned appraisers appointed by J P Freman, Ordinary of said County to assess the sum necessary for the support and maintenance of Mrs
Mary Suttle, widow of Joseph Suttle deceased for the term of twelve months and also to set apart a sufficient amount of the household furniture for her
use out of the estate of said deceased have assessed as the sum necessary for her support and maintenance for twelve months $300 and we have set
apart out of the household furniture for her use the following articles to wit:
1 lot of --- ware $8.00
2 flat oven, 1 spider, 1 wash pot, 1 dinner pot, tongs, shovel, 1 pot rack, 2 water buckets, 1 brass kettle, four chairs, 3 old tables,
1 old trunk, 1 looking glass, 2 feather beds and furniture. We have set apart from the appraisement:
Bill the following articles which had been selected by the widow for her use to wit:
5 pork hogs valued at $100
2 shoats valued at $1-
5-1/2 bushels wheat valued at $13.75
5 sheep valued at $25.00
100 bushels of corn $100.00
1 cow and calf, valued at $50.00
1 Spinning wheel $1.00
1 skillet .25
The within report we respectfully submit as having faithfully made by us according to the best of our skill and knowledge.
