Will Book A, page 145
Jesse Callaway of Whitfield County GA. All my property, real and personal, consisting of horses, lands, stock, household and kitchen furniture, farming
implements, investments and money equally to my wife Mary Catharine Callaway and her seven children named as follows:
William Willis Callaway, Nettie Jane Crawford, Luke Henry Callaway, Joseph Samuel Callaway, Woodson Kirby Calloway, Ella Agnes
Callaway and Wayland Callaway. In case other children should be born by my wife herein before named to me they are to share equally with my wife and
the children named above.
I desire that my children above named live and work together until they marry or become eighteen years of age, then they may settle elsewhere on the land under
such arrangements as they may make with the executors of this will.
Profits of the farm consistently be spared for the purpose of educating the minor children. It is my desire that they receive as liberal an education as the circumstances
of my estate shall justify.
Wife may have use of the homestead where I now live including the 70 acres of land belonging to the lot where on said homestead is situated and also thirty acres
more or less of the north side of the lot of land I sold to Joe Bates and which lies south of my home place and is adjoining the same, until the youngest child be
of age or married, then all of the estate be sold publicly.
Executors: my beloved wife Mary Catharine Callaway, William Willis Callaway, Luke Henry Callaway and William H Crawford.
Witnessed: E C Cochran, W L Headrick, Julius P Clements.
Signed 24 July 1875.
