Leonard White of Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts

 

Wife Hannah, dwelling house, gardens, contents, and $400 every quarter in payments of $100 each.

 

Sons Frederick, Robert H, Edward and John L White my wearing apparel to be divided between them.

 

Son Frederick White, an undivided 1/6 of the remainder

 

Son Robert H White, an undivided 1/6 of the remainder

 

Son Edward White, and undivided 1/6 of the remainder

 

Son John L White, an undivided 1/6 of the remainder

 

Daughter Mary Ann How, an undivided 1/6 of the remainder.

 

Grandaughter Ann Leonard White, an undivided 1/6 of the remainder.  In case this is before she should be twenty one, Charles White

Esq of Haverhill shall be appointed her guardian.

 

Son Edward White, of the city of New York, executor of this my last will and testament

Codicil:

Wife Hannah should also receive the insurance from the Mass Mutual File Insurance Co in Boston, house is insured for $1,500 and furniture

 insured by the Portsmouth Mutual Fire Insurance Co for $1,000.  In case of fire wife Hannah to receive those proceeds to provide her another

house and furniture.

Witnesses: Charles White, Thomas Newcomb, Joseph A Alley

 

Codicil:

Edward White my son, formerly of New York City but now of Dalton, Georgia I void my last appointment of executor and appoint Stephen Minot

 of Haverhill, Esq instead of my son Edward White.
