I, William Sloan, being on a bed of affliction and believing my time on earth close at hand but still of sound and disposing mind have

thought as God has blessed me with a portion of this world goods that I for the better protection of my beloved wife Susan and

my children thought proper to appoint my two youngest brothers Ellis Sloan and J B Slone my executors to carry out the purposes

herein contained that immediately after my death and burial the before mentioned executors one or both to take possession of all

my effects and so as soon as they can arrive at the amount of debts that I owe, to sell a sufficient amount of my personal effects to

pay my just debts and the ballance if any, my real estate to be applied to the benefit of my wife and children in the best way my

executors in their wisdom may deem proper for the good of my children.

And further that whereas myself and Brother Archibald Slone changed lands and proper (?) bonds for titles I wish my executors

to execute title to Archibald and Archibald to execute titles to my heirs generally or as the law directs according to the substance of our bonds.

Whereas being weak in body but sound in mind have signed my name to this instrument  my last will and testament in the presence of                    17 June 1852
