Born in Alabama, lived in Marion Co since 1834.
Enlisted 1 Sept 1861 at Lumpkin GA; Co C, 10th GA
Shell exploded near him at Bentonsville and pieces of it struck him; which laid him up for 16 months.
Occupation since 1865: Farmer
Has wife Margaret and children aged 26, 23, 22, 21, 18, 15 according to pension request.
Children: Earl (who m Selina (b Jan 1864)); Henry (b ca 1869); Alex (b Oct 1871); George (b Apr 1876; married Lula ---); James (b ca 1877); Ella
(b Jan 1880; married William Simmons).
