Mrs. Amelia Gordon Administratrix for Thomas Gordon

Know all men these presents.
That we, Mrs. Amelia Gordon principal, P. J. Keaton & T. J. Lanier, Sureties,
are held and firmly bound and obliged unto the Honorable the Ordinary of said
county for the time being, and successors in office, in the sum of Three
thousand ($3000) dollars, to be paid to the said Ordinary his successors in
office or assigns, for which payment will and truly be made and done, we bind
ourselves, jointly and severally and each of our heirs, executors and
administrators, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and a???? at
Kestler Ga, the 4th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand nine
hundred and one.
The conditions of above obligation is such, that if the above bound Mrs. Amilia
Gordon Administratrix of the goods, chattels and credits of Thomas Gordon
deceased, do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods,
chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hand,
possession or knowledge of the said Mrs. Amelia Gordon or in the hands or
possession of any other person or persons for her and the same so made to
exhibit in the court of Ordinary of said county where she shall be thereunto
required and such goods, chattels and credits do well and truly administer
according to law and make a just and true account of her actings and doings
therein where required by the Superior Court or the Ordinary of said county and
all the rest of the goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining
upon the account of the said administration the same being first allowed by the
said court, shall deliver and pay to such persons respectively as are entitled
to the same by law. And if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and
testament was made by the said deceased and the same be processed before the
court, and the Executors obtain a certificate of the probate thereof and the
said Mrs. Amelia Gordon do in such case, if required send?? and deliver up the
said letters of Administration, then this obligation’s to be bon’d; else to
remain of full force.

I, Mrs. Amelia Gordon, do solemnly swear, that Thomas Gordon died intestate so
far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly administer on all the
estate of said deceased and desbusse the same as the law requires and discharge
to the best of my ability all my duties as administratrix on the estate of said
deceased, So help me God.

The Honorable the court of Ordinary, for the County and State aforesaid:
To Mrs. Amelia Gordon
Whereas Thos Gordon, late of the County and State aforesaid,__________deseased,
died intestate, having whilst he lived, and at the time of his death, real and
personal estate within the County and State aforesaid, by means whereof the full
disposition and power of granting the administration of all and singular the
real and personal estate of the said deseased, and also auditing the accounts,
calculations, and reckonings of the said administrations, and a final dismission
of the same, to this Court is manifestly known to belong: I, desiring that the
real and personal estate of the said deceased may be well and truly
administered, converted, and well disposed of, do hereby grant unto the said
Mrs. Amelia Gordon full power, by the tenor of these presents, to administer the
real and personal estate of the said deceased, which to he in his lifetime, and
at the time of his death, did belong; and to ask , levy, sue for, recover, and
recieve the same; and to pay the debts in which the deseased stood obligated, so
far forth as his real and personal estate will extend, according to their rate
and order of law; being first sworn on th Holy Evangelists of Almighty God to
make a true and prefect inventory thereof, and to exhibit the same into the
Court of Ordinary aforesaid, in order to be recorded, on or before the fifth
Monday of July 1902, next ensuing, and to render a just and true account,
calculation, and reckoning of said administration when thereunto required: And I
ordain, depute, and constitute you, the said Mrs. Amelia Gordon, Administratrix
of all and singular the real and personal estate of the said deceased.
