| John Franklin Jarrett (Nov.27,1859-Sep 5,1943) Perry's Father was a Farmer and owned a Rock Quarry at one time. He Married Samantha Ella Sparks and they had ten boys. Samantha was killed in a Tragic Train/Horse and Buggy Wreck that broke almost every bone in John's body. Young Dave got out of the Buggy Before the Train Hit Them. It happend in front of the Jarrett Store that Perry Franklin Jarrett and Brother Charlie Franklin Jarrett owned in downtown Adairsville, GA. Charlie's son Wilton A. (Wick) Jarrett was also Mayor of Adairsville, GA at one time. Perry later sold his part in the Store to Charlie. Perry Franklin, traded his Pistol, and other Articles, Got him a team of Mules, and wagon, and started his trek south. |
