Robert Marcus and George Miller

Robert Marcus and George Miller went to Texas in the late 1840s' or early 1850s.  They were both born and raised in Early County GA. James Casson, son of Robert Marcus, was also born in Early County GA.

Robert Marcus and James are buried in Tanner Cemetery in Burkeville, Newton County, Texas and George is buried in Old Union Cemetery about 6 miles south of Burkeville, TX.

Robert Marcus and his wife Averilla Hare Miller  both from Early County GA were my Great Great Grandparents,  James Casson was my Great Grandfather.

Old Union Church that is at the cemetery where George Miller is buried.  This church and cemetery is at the end of a real country road in the deep woods of East Texas.

There are many descendants of the Miller brothers in East Texas.  I can help you with information about these people if you are interested.

My great grandfather on my mothers' side is also from Early County GA.    He was HHC Bush (Hope Hull Christian Bush)  If you have any information about HHC Bush, he was called Doc Bush in East Texas, I would love to have it.   There is a mystery as to who his father was.  I have my ideas but there is really no proof.
