Personally before me comes Mrs. A.
G. Bowden of said county, who after being duly sworn, on oath says that she is
the widow of A. G. Bowden who was duly enrolled as Ind. & Serv. [Indigent and Service] Pensioner from the county
of Banks and was paid a Pension of One Hundred Dollars from Banks county for
1920, and that the said A. G. Bowden died in Banks county on the 5 day of May
1921, and at the time of his death a Pension of $125.00 was due him from Banks
county and unpaid for 1921. Applicant
further swears that she married the same A. G. Bowden on the 21 day of Feb.
1881 in Banks county and State of Ga., and resided with him from the date of
marriage to his death as his lawful wife, and is now his dependent widow, and
she asks the Pension so due and unpaid be paid to her.

Personally before me comes A. G.
Bowden Jr., who on oath says that he knew A. G. Bowden Sr. while in life and
that he knows his wife Mrs. A. G. Bowden the above applicant; that he knows
that the said See certified copy of License were in due form of law married in
the county of [blank] of the State of Georgia on the [blank] day of [blank]
18...., and that they resided together as man and wife from date of marriage to
the day of his death on the 5 day of May 1921, and I know she is his dependent
widow.

Note-Nancy Jane Rucker Bowden died
June 30, 1935 in Hall County, Georgia, and is buried beside Alanson G. Bowden
Sr. in the Homer Presbyterian Church cemetery in Homer, Banks County,
Georgia. She was his second wife and
was born March 21, 1856.
