THE WILL OF WILLIAM JOHNSON

 

 

In the name of God Amen. I William Johnson of the State of Georgia and County of Bulloch being infirm in body but in

perfect mind & memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament- in order following that is to say I give and

recommend my Soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be decently intered at the discretion of my Executrix and touching such worldly estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with I will bequeath the same in manner & form following- I give and bequeath to my children Vis. James Johnson, John Johnson, Nancy Johnson, William Johnson, Catherine Johnson, Nathan Johnson & Patty Johnson all the property which I possess both real & Personal to be equally divided ammongst them when Nathan arives to the age of twenty one years old to be paid each their proportionable part of said personal estate when married at the discretion of my Executrix should she conceive the same necessary & not otherwise- Lastly I constitute and appoint my dearly Beloved wife Delila

Johnson my sole Executrix to this my last will and testament and I do hereby disallow evoke and disannul all and every

other former testament and wills by me in any way before named will and bequeathed ratifying this and no other to be

my last will and testament.

 

 

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this

fourth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand

eight hundred and seven.

Signed sealed published and pronounced by the said William

Johnson as his last will & testament in the presence of us

who in his presence and the presents of each other have

hereunto subscribed our names.

Wm Thornton

 

 

Personally appeared Francis Grimes & William Thornton in

open Court May term and made oath that they saw William

Johnson assign the within will and that they saw Thomas

Hylton subscribe his name as witness to the will with

them.

 

 

Sworn to the 7th of May 1810.
