The following information on land grants was
gathered from the Headright and Bounty Plats of Survey, 1783-1909 found on-line
at the GA Virtual Vault. Holiman Hilburn's plat of survey is found here:

I'm listing the Hilburn men who had land surveyed and
whose names were mentioned in surveys. In addition, I've included James Bruce's
survey as we believe he was the father-in-law of Frederick Hilburn.
1787 James Bruce - Chain carrier & adjoining landowner
on Thomas Tipton’s land. Location: Beech Branch; Brier Creek, South Side of
Muddy Branch; Creek Swamp
1788 Frederick Hilburn- CC on James Hogg’s land Grant.
(Aug); other cc: Reuban Thompson
1788 Holliman Hilburn land plat survey- 200 acres-
Spring Branch. Harmon Holloman & Timothey Murray- CC. Oct 8, 1788
1788 John Merchant’s land. Timothey murray and a
“holiman hilliman” are cc’s. The Holiman name is difficult to read as the author
wrote over the names to make corrections. I strongly suspect it was Holiman
Hilburn. Oct 8, 1788

Thompson CC.
1789 John Bell’s land. Hollyman Hilburn CC.

GA drew 2 Blanks. This indicates that he qualified as a Free Male > 21, resident
of Ga for over 1 yr, and with a wife or child < 21. The Families of Burke County
1755-1855, P. 291.
1815 John Bell Land survey- Adjoining landowner-
Frederick Hilburn. CC: Jas Kimbrel, Thomas Boyet.
1796 Reubin Thompson land survey. CC: Joseph Kimbrel &
Reubin Thompson. Adj. Landowners- Stephen Murray, Thompson, Smith & Irwin.
We believe the Hilbuns moved on to Montgomery County,
AL as early as 1819 as a couple of Frederick Hilbun's sons got married there.
They along with other Burke families (Bryans, Bonnels) appeared to have moved to
Alabama in Montgomery County area which later was part of Lowndes County.
