Mr. James D. Valentino
Mr. Jas. Valentino Passes Away.
Wednesday night, after a long and painful illness, the spirit of Mr. Jas. Valentino went to the God who gave it. His health gave way two or three years ago, and under the care of the best physicians, who built him up, and with his wonderful energy, he returned to his work. He moved to Atlanta and his health again failed, and although he received the best nursing and treatment from the most skilled physicians, he gradually grew worse, and with his devoted wife came to their home on Indian Spring street, where most loving care and attention was bestowed on him, but it could not restore his broken health, and surrounded by those near and dear to him, he passed into that great beyond.
Mr. Valentino was born and reared in Macon. He married several years ago Miss Kate McMichael, of this city, and since then has resided here most of the time, where he made many warm friends. His going away is a sad blow to the devoted wife, mother, sister and other relatives who have the sincere sympathy of every one in their irreparable loss.
The funeral services were conducted this Friday morning from the residence by his pastor Rev. S. P. Wiggins, and the interment was the city cemetery.
