Mrs. Young Buried At Oak Hill
Mrs. Edna Ruth Lord Young of Westmoreland Road, Griffin, died Thursday morning, June 21st, at Emory University Hospital.
A native of Athens, Mrs. Young had made her home in Griffin for 17 years. She was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church and a retired employee of the Georgia Factory for the Blind.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at eleven o'clock in McDonald Chapel. Rev. Winston Harmon and Rev. Bob Jones officiated with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. McDonald Chapel of Griffin was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, Olin Young; three daughters, Miss Sue Young of Atlanta, Mrs. Loretta Towery of Jackson and Mrs. Bobbie Jean Milner of Woodville, Ala.; mother, Mrs. Nezzie Lord of Griffin; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Oliver of Hampton and Mrs. Irene Wells of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, J. C. Lord of Sheffield, Ala. and James Lord of Griffin; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
