Nathan Gann To James Allen December 27, 1836

This indenture made this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six between Nathan Gann of the
county and state aforesaid of the one part and James Allen of the same place
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Nathan Gann for and in consideration
of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the
dealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said James Allen his heirs and assigns
all that tract or parcel of land which is lying and being in the county
and state aforesaid containing twenty five acres more or less on McNutts
Creek butted and bounded as follows. Beginning at White Oak Corner on said
creek and running thence S 27 W 42 Ch 6 links to a pine corner, thence N
82 W 25 Ch 4 links to a black oak corner thence N 9 W 16 Ch to the said
creek thence up the meandral of said creek to a white oak corner thence
N 15 W 44 Ch 8 links to a pine corner thence S 78 E 120 Ch 6 links to the
beginning corner all of which will be more fully and at large appear by
reference to a plat of said tract of land hereto annexed
To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said James Allen his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights __________ and appertenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behalf forever in fee simple
And the said Nathan Gann for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained promises unto the said James Allen his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all persons whatsoever
