Jesse WALTON was the son of William & Sarah nee GRINNAGE WALTON, who emigrated from Virginia to Georgia and settled in Columbia County, among one of the earliest citizens.
His siblings are: Joseph Walton, William Fairfax Walton, Pallie Naomi Walton, Blanche L Walton, Thomas Jefferson Walton, and Frances George Walton Cartledge. He married Palatiah Ellis Jones Walton. Their children are: Jesse Alphonso Walton, William Thomas Walton, Lucilius Diogenes Walton, Mary Elizabeth Walton Clanton, Ellis Jones Walton, George Tatner Walton, Ella Gertrude Walton Lamkin, and Ella Gertrude Walton Lampkin.
