Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery is divided by Robinson Avenue and contains many of the pioneer families who settled Grovetown. The South section: (Older Section) located on the corner of West Robinson Avenue and Newmantown Road, across from the Grove First Bapatist Church. The North section: (New Section) Next to Grove Baptist Church. |

Joseph Koger was an ordinance officer in the Mexican War. He married Louisa Bates in 1851 in Tennessee. They came to Georgia just before the War Between the States. Joseph was a Superintendent at the Augusta Powder Works. The Augusta Powder Works was the principal supply of gunpowder for the Confederate Army.
