         July 2nd 1796.  THOMAS CARR to RICHARD MATTHEWS, Jr., son of RICHARD MATTHEWS, SR., and his wife Catherine, for 20 pounds, 100 acres adjoining WILLIAM LINDSEY, part of 830 acres tract granted to said THOMAS CARR, Oct. 27, 1794.

        Jan. 8, 1796.  r/July 30, 1796.  WM. FARMER, SR., to JOHN CONNOR, for 12 lbs 10 shillings, 50 acres out of a 200 acre tract granted to said FARMER, Sept. 20th 1787.

        June 3, 1796. r/July 30 1796.  ANN WALL, to CHRISTOPHER MILLIRON for 50 pounds, 300 acres on the waters of White Oak Creek, "Whereon I now live."

       July 11th, 1792.  r/July 30th 1796.  DANIEL MCCARTY of Wilkes County, to JOHN WRIGHT, for 75 pounds, 100 acres on Green Briar Creek, adjoining land surveyed for ROBERT UPTON, being part of tract granted to McCarty, Nov. 10, 1772.

        Aug. 18th 1796.  r/1796.  Power of Attorney. JOHN WALTON names MATTHEW WALTON of Kentucky to make proper title to land I am entitled to in Kentucky, or money arising from sale of said land.

        Sept. 25th 1776. r/Aug. 24, 1796.  IGNATIUS FEW to WILLIAM FEW, JR., for 100 pounds, 350 acres being the tract originally granted to ROBERT DUNN by His Majesty, by deed dated Dec. 6h 1774, conveyed by said DUNN to FEW, June 9, 1775.

         July 18th 1796.  r/Aug. 24th 1796.  HUGH BLAIR to DAVID BERRYMAN for 70 lbs. 175 acres.  No further description given.

        Aug. 3rd 1796.  w/Aug. 24th 1796.  SAMSON LAMKIN to WILLIAM LAMKIN, for 20 pounds, 150 acres on Greenbriar Creek formerly granted to JOHN MITCHELL, adjoining ROBERT STORY and DANIEL COLEMAN.

        Apr. 5th 1796. r/Aug. 24th 1796.   BENJAMIN HARRIS, planter and wife Jane, to JAMES OLIVE, planter for 100 pounds sterling, a tract of 173 acres on Greenbriar Creek.

        June 21st 1796.  r/Aug. 24th 1796.  WALTER DRANE, Esquire, to THOMAS COBBS, the elder, for $300.00 by virtue of two writs, on the suit of EDMOND BUGG, HENRY HAMPTON and HENRY HILL, Executors of will of BENJAMIN ANDREWS, deceased.  (Will missing from Will Book A) against JOHN COBBS, JR and PETER CRAWFORD. Also one other suit by CHESLEY BOSTWICK, JR. and SR., against JOHN COBBS, doth confer unto said THOMAS COBBS at public outcry, 528 acres, being the plantation whereon said COBBS now lives, on the west fork of Kiokee, called Greenbriar.

        Dec. 28th 1795.  r/Aug. 24th 1796.  ISAAC PINSON to EDMOND BUGG for $300, 150 acres whereon PINSON now lives, originally granted to JOSEPH COBBS, July 5th 1774, conveyed by said COBBS to PINSON, Dec. 14th 1782.  Also 100 acres adjoining above, granted to WILLIAM PINSON, sold by him to Isaac, Oct. 20, 1789.

        Dec. 14th, 1793. r/Aug 24th, 1796.  JAMES DANELLY to JOHN OLIVE for 100 lbs 150 acres on waters of Great Kiokee Crk., granted to MESHACK MATTHEWS Aug. 7, 1774.   Bounded northeast by NINIAN OFFUTT MAGRUDER.  Northwest by JAMES STEWART.  All other sides vacant at time of survey.

        Apr. 18th 1795.  r/Aug 26th 1796.  THOMAS WATSON and wife, Elizabeth, Adms. and heirs JOHN COATS, MARY COATS, REBECCA WATSON, EDY WATSON, MELLY WATSON to JOHN MOATES, 200 acres, property of JAMES COATES by granted from King, Feb. 19, 1773 for 100 pounds.  Deed signed by husbands of Rebecca (Benjamin Watson). Edy (Benjamin Ray), Melly (Joseph Watson).

        Jan. 4th, 1796.  r/Aug. 25th 1796.  JAMES RICHARD, Sheriff of Richmond Ctr. on suit of JOSEPH CLAY and JOSEPH HABERSHAM, against the estate of JAMES RAY, deceased, property in hands of JOHN COBBISON and wife, Anne, property of ROBERT RAE, in the hands of SAMUEL HAMMMOND and Rebekah, Adms. of good and chattels of the firm of Rae, Elbert and Grayham, for 573 pounds, one shilling, 10 pence.

        Dec. 22nd 1791.  Power of Attorney.  SAUL WARD to son Thomas, to sell property in Maryland. 

        Jan. 10th 1777.  r/Dec. 6th 1791.  DANIEL FLEMING to WILLIAM CANDLER for 25 pounds, 100 acres on Upton Creek in Wrightsborough Township, granted said Fleming, Feb. 4th 1774.

        Sept. 26th 1778.  r/Dec. 6th, 1791.  COL. WILLIAM CANDLER to COL. ANDREW BARNES (or Burnes) same tract 75 pounds.

        May 6, 1791.  r/Dec 6, 1791.  BARNES or BURNES, sells above tract to BENJAMIN FEW and RHESA HOWARD for 75 pounds.  Barnes living in Wilkes County.

        June 25th 1791.  r/Dec. 6th 1791.  WILLIAM ROSEBOROUGH, of Greene County, sells to PAUL COLEMAN of Columbia County for 50 pounds, one third of three tracts of land containing in all 350 acres, originally granted to GEORGE ROSEBOROUGH, deceased, bounded on northwest by THOMAS MOORE.  North by RANDALL RAMSEY, Sr.  West by JOHN SMITH.  South by NATHANIEL BARNETT.  The one third part containing 116 acres being the portion of estate of GEORGE ROSEBOROUGH left to his son, William.

        Dec. 17th, 1787.  r/Dec. 10th 1791.  JOHN HODGENS of Wrightsborough Township, sells to WILLIAM and CAMM THOMAS, wheelrights of same place for 55 pounds, 131 acres in said Township on waters of Upton Creek, originally granted to JOSEPH MADDOCK and ISAAC VERNON, deeded by said MADDOCK and JAMES BROWN.  Adm, of ISAAC VERNON to said HODGINS.  Bou9nded North by lands of heirs of said VERNON, deceased, and heirs of GEORGE BECK, deceased, West by WILLIAM.  South by heirs of late VERNON and lands of MERCER BROWN.  East by MERCER BROWN.

        October 28, 1790.  JOHN HODGENS, late deceased, his relict Mary, declares her self satisfied with the sale.

        Aug. 30th 1791.  r/Dec. 17th 1791.  THOMAS WATKINS, receipt.  "Received on above date from SHERWOOD BUSS, Adm. of estate of PETER PARRIS, the following slaves:  Quash, Lander, Tom, Jamy, Dinah, Black, Nancy, Phoebe, Sambo, Robin, Jack, George, Minny, Hannah, Bill and Fanny.  Two horses, one bedstead with furniture and lot of silver spoons, being the unsold portion of estate of PETER PARRIS."

        Dec. 1778.  r/Dec. 17, 1791.  WILLIAM SHEPHERD, planter and wife Sarah, sell to JACOB WEBSTER (no price given).  200 acres  granted to NATHAN SHEPHERD in 1773 by JAS. HABERSHAM, Esquire. (note underneath says, Dec 21, 1778, received 350 pounds sterling in full payment)

        Jan. 26, 1791.  r/Jan 3, 1792.  LOVELESS SAVAGE and wife Elizabeth, sell for five pounds, to JOHN FOSTER, 200 acres on Germany Creek, bounded by David BOYD, WM. GERMANY, JOHN BOYD and lands vacant.  Granted to SARAH RICHARDSON by Gov. John Houston, Sept. 13, 1784. 

        Jan. 9, 1792.  JOEL CRAWFORD mortgages to WILLIAM BARNETT of Elbert County, 287 1/2 acres in said county, on Broad River, for 36 pounds, originally granted to JOHN TINDELL. 

        Jan. 26 1791.  r/Jan. 11 1792.  JOHN FOSTER sells to LOVELESS SAVAGE and Elizabeth, his wife, for five pounds, 200 acres on Germany Creek, bounded North by SAVAGE.  East by COURSON.  South by REES MORRIS, Southwest by JOHN GARNETT.  West by WILLIAM CONE and northwest by RICKETSON.  Granted to ANN WOOD by Gove. Samuel Elbert, Feb 4th 1785. 

      Jan. 13th 1792.  r/Feb 2nd 1792.  NATHANIEL PERREA (PEARRE?) of Augusta, Esquire and Anna, his wife, sell to NOTLEY WHITCOMBE for 100 pounds, a tract containing 500 acres, bounded in 1774 (time of survey) by THOMAS GREER, CRAWFORD, BACON, ANTHONY and DICKEY, on both sides of Uchee Creek.  Surveyed originally for JOSEPH FARLEY and re-surveyed by WILLIAM SIMMS, April 23, 1789. 

        Aug. 27th 1791.  r/Feb 8, 1792.  WM. REILLY, late of Baltimore, MD., but now a merchant in Augusta, to WILLIAM SMITH, sells 1800 acres purchased from THOMAS GLASCOCK and his wife Mary, Apr. 21, 1791.  No price given. (One WM. REILLY married MARY FOOSLE in Maryland 1794)

        Apr. 1, 1791.  r/Feb. 18 1792.  JOHN MCDONALD sells to ANTHONY HAYNES and wife Nancy, for 30 pounds, 100 acres on Uchee Creek, adjoining CRAWFORD, HANSON and WM. SIMMS. 

    Same date and same parties.  For 30 lbs. 100 acres on branch of Uchee Creek, called Back Creek. 

        1792. ca.  Power of Attorney.  TURNER TOMESON to PEACHY BLADSOE of Greene County, to collect all sums due in State of VA. as a soldier in the late war with England.

        Feb. 26th 1792.  WILLIAM APPLING sells to the Commissioners of the Courthouse, for five shillings, for use as a Courthouse and Gaol, five acres laid out of my premises by WILLIAM WALTON, Esquire, accepting a graveyard not exceeding 1/4 acre to be laid off square including the graves appertaining to said yard.

        Same date.  WILLIAM APPLING to the  Trustees of the Anabaptist Church, on the Kiokee, for five shillings, five acres to be laid out of my premises part of a tract granted to JOSEPH WOOD, Aug. 2, 1774. 

        Feb. 11th 1792.  r/Feb. 26th 1792.  MARY MONCRIEF to Michael and James MCNEIL for 25 pounds, the tract I now reside on, containing 100 acres, granted to me July 23, 1784, bounded North by JEREMIAH DUCKWORTH.  West land unknown.  South by RANDALL RAMSEY,  Other side vacant.

        Feb. 26th 1792.  Deed of Gift.  THOMAS NAPIER to son-in-law ROBERT RALDOLPH:  All parcel of land on East side of Germany's Creek, below Malone's Branch, including 300 acres originally granted to JOHN SELLS, also all parcel on North side of Malone's Branch, sold by ROBERT MCGINTY to said Napier.  (320 acres)

        April 4, 1791.  a/Feb 29, 1792.  WM. MILBANKS to JESSE SANDERS for 200 lbs. specie, 200 acres granted to said MILBANKS, Jan. 3rd 1775 on both sides of Little Kiokee Creek, adjoining BENJAMIN BEAVERS and EDMOND CARTLEDGE.

        Jan. 27th 1792.  r/May 2, 1792.  JESSE SANDERS to JOHN DAUGHED (DOGGETT), for 310 pounds, 414 acres of land bounded by said Sanders, JEREMIAH LAMKIN and MRS. RAY, 300 acres of which is known as the Cartledge tract, which was confiscated from ______ GRIERSON and sold by government to said SANDERS. 

        Apr. 26, 1791.  r/Mar. 8, 1792.  RICHARD MOORE, mason, to PHILIP BRANTLEY for 100 pounds, sells 100 acres on Hart Creek conveyed to said Moore by SAMUEL TEMPLE SAMSON. 

        Feb. 15, 1790.  r/May 9, 1792.  HENRY CANDLER to JOHN JONES for 30 pounds, 142 acres granted to said Candler on Sullivan's Creek, Feb 9, 1790.

        March 12th 1790.  r/March 9th, 1792.  BURROUGHS HIGGANBOTHAM, planter, to JONETHAN PAIN (PAYNE), for 10 pounds, 100 a. granted said HIGGANBOTHAN, Jan. 1st 1787. bounded by ISAAC LOW, DAVID WALKER and own lands.

        Dec. 21st 1791.  r/Mar. 9, 1792.  WM. COUSINS to NATHAN HARRIS, for 75 pounds, 200 acres bounded north by JACKSON.  South by ZACHRY and LOWE, northwest by lands vacant.  Granted to WILLIAM BARNETT Feb. 24th 1785, which land being part of estate of WILLIAM BARNETT, deceased, fell to JOHN MADDOX as one of the legatees.

        March 22nd 1792.  NAHEMIAH DUNN mortgage to ROBERT WATKINS for 100 pounds, 200 acres (in upper part of county) granted to WILLIAM BURGAMY (r/Folio 165, Book M. Sept. 7th 1774, in Archives) conveyed to JOHN WALTON Feb. 21, 1775 by sd. BURGAMY.

        Dec. 1, 1789.  r/Apr. 16, 1792.  DREDZEL PACE, of Richmond County, to JAMES MCMILLAN, for 150 pounds lawful money, 200 acres on Savannah River bounded by lands of JOHN GERMANY, SR., originally granted to said GERMANY in two separate tracts of 100 acres each, Feb. 3, 1767. 

        Nov. 4, 1791.  r/Apr. 15, 1792.  JOS. BATSON and wife Lucy to JAMES REED, for 55 pounds, sell 100 acres bounded North by SAMUEL SCOTT.  West by Scott's Spring Br., South by Greenbriar Creek and East by JOHN MARSHALL, part of 500 acre tract granted to THOMAS FORD.

        April 21, 1792.  Power of Attorney.  CHARLES TAYLOR, JOSHUA GRINAGE and JOHN BEALLE appoint JOHN WALTON to handle all of their affairs.

        Oct. 12, 1789.  r/Apr 27, 1792.  JOHN BECK sells to AMOS GREENE for 30 pounds 150 acres on Maddock Creek bounded by WM. and CAMM THOMAS, WILLIAM DANIEL and sawmill tract, formerly granted to JOSEPH MADDOCK.  (The original grant by Sir JAMES WRIGHT to GEORGE BECK for above tract and town lot No. 59 was dated July 3, 1770.  JOHN BECK sells Town Lot on same day for one pound, 10 shillings, to Greene.  Jos. and PHOEBE MIDDLETON sign relinquishment to above Oct. 28th 1789.

        Dec. 1, 1791.  r/Apr. 30, 1792.  WM. BROWN and wife Sarah, to WILLIAM EVANS, for 70 sterling, 200 acres on waters of Keg Creek bounded south by SCOTT and WM. PAYNE, also lands granted originally to BARBARA CLARK.  West by lands granted to GEORGE GALPHIN, EDWARD CARTLEDGE and ANDREW MCLANE, consisting of 100 acres granted to WILLIAM BROWN, 1785.  (R. in Book GGG, page 47, Archives)  Another 100 acres granted to THOMAS ADCOCK, April 5, 1785. 

        Dec. 5, 1789.  r/May 1, 1792.  BENJAMIN JACKSON and wife Susannah, to JAMES DOZIER for 150 pounds, a tract of 150 a. on south side of Little River, adjoining land whereon said Dozier now lives.

        March 18, 1791. r/May 1, 1792.  JOHN MARSHALL to ABRAHAM YOUNGBLOOD for 30 pounds, current money, sells 100 acres bounded southeast and northeast by UPSON's land and vacant on all sides at time of survey.  Conveyed by JAMES MCNEIL to ANDREW WHITFIELD and by him to said MARSHALL.

        Mar. 31, 1791.  r/May 3, 1792.  BENJAMIN REES to WILLIAM SMITH, for 50 lbs Lot No. 67 in Town of Wrightsborough, originally granted to JOHN SLATER, son and heir-in-law to JOHN SLATER, SR., deceased.  By deed to conveyance to said REES, Nov. 19, 1789. 

        Jan. 24, 1789.  r/May 9, 1789.  CALEB and MARY MONCRIEF to WILLIAM EVANS for 500 pounds (?) 190 acre bounded South by RICHARD MEDDOWS.  West by STURGIS and Meadows Branch.  West by said MONCRIEF.  East by THOMAS HOGAN.

        Nov. 19, 1789.  r/May 10, 1792.  JOHN SLATER sells to BENJAMIN REES, a lot of land in Wrightsborough containing one a. known on plat of said town as No. 67 (Nearly all of these tract in township of Wrightsborough were originally given to the Quakers, and all the Town lots were originally granted to JOHN SLATER, deceased, July 3, 1779)

        Dec. 24th 1790.  r/May 11th 1792.  FRANCIS GRUBBS to JOHN MO----, for 50 lbs 100 acres on both sides of Boggy Gut Crk. part of a tract originally granted to EDWARD PRATHER (Also Prater, Preater, etc.) on July 3, 1787, containing 150 a. also all that tract containing 200 acres, originally granted to JOHN NORTH, Dec. 4 1790, bounded northeast by said Prator's land and GARDNER's land.

        Oct. 3rd 1789.  r/May 12, 1792.  EDWARD PRATHER (Preator) and Sarah, his wife, sell to FRANCIS GRUBBS for 40 lbs. 100 acres on both sides of Boggy Gut Creek, granted to said PRATOR, a tract of 150 acres July 3, 1787. 

        July 24, 1794.  r/July 24, 1794.  Bill of Sale.  ELIZABETH BOYD, widow and relict of JOHN BOYD, deceased, sells to NANCY BOYD for 100 pounds, negro man, Dave.  One chestnut sorrel colt, one brown bay mare, one cow and three yearlings.  One bed and furniture, four iron pots, one Dutch oven.  One iron skillet, two pewter dishes, 10 plates, six basins, one frying pan, all plantation tools all remaining household and kitchen furniture.

        Feb. 14th 1794.  R/July 24, 1794.  ROBERT MIDDLETON and wife Elizabeth of Augusta, to LEWIS GARDNER for 150 pounds, sell 152 acres, part of Germany Island originally granted to JOHN RAE, Jr., Elizabeth relinquishes dower.

        July 24th 1794.  R/July 24, 1794.   Deed of Gift.  MARY CARMICHAEL, widow with good will and affection to children, JOSEPH W., ABNER, ELIZABETH GREY and PEGGY BYNUM CARMICHAEL, when they arrive at 21 years, negroes Simon, Rebecca, Mingo, Milly, Isaac, Jacob, Cate, Phebe and Hannah.  Also five cows and calves, four head of horse-kind, 150 acres of land, granted to BEVERLY LOWE, by deed from him to WM. MADDOX, from him to said MARY CARMICHAEL.  March 3, 1792.

        Apr. 19th 1794.  r/July 25th 1794.  ANDERSON CRAWFORD and Rachael, his wife to WILLIAM BINION, SR., for 150 pounds, sell 600 acres on Little River, granted to WILLIAM GOODGION, Mar. 7, 1775. 

        March 9th 1791.  r/July 25th 1794.  NATHANIEL VERNON and Grace, his wife to AARON PARKES for 55 pounds, sell 100 a. on Upton Creek.

        May 7th 1794.  r/Sept. 22nd, 1794.  FRANCIS HORNSBY and wife Nancy of Richmond County to ABNER SIMS, for 30 lbs 100 acres on Uchee Creek, part of a grant to GABRIEL ERCHANT.

        Sept. 29th 1794.  Power of Attorney.  JOHN VANDERLINDER, cooper, appoints, THOS. HAYNES to recover from the estate of PETER CULBREATH, a legacy left to said John in right of wife Mary, both real and personal estate, bequeathed in last will and testament of father. 

        July 26, 1794. r/Oct 1, 1794.  WM. SMITH, son and heir of CHARLES SMITH, deceased, of Warren County and Talitha, his wife, sell to JOHN L. DIXON of Washington County for 300 pounds, 200 acres originally granted to said Charles by Sir JAMES WRIGHT, Aug. 2, 1768.

        Oct. 24th 1794.  Power of Attorney.  JANE CULBREATH, widow of Peter, deceased, dismisses JOSHUA GRINAGE as her attorney, and appoints JAMES CULBREATH to protect her dower rights.

        July 21, 1794.  r/Oct 1. 1794.  JAS. ROSS and wife Anne for 30 pounds, sell to JOHN HARGROVES, 100 acres on Greenbriar Creek part of two tracts originally granted to JOHN WALTON and LUC WILLIAMS and conveyed by said grantees to ROSS.  Anne relinquishes dower.

        Sept. 26th 1794.  r/Jan. 1st 1795.  JOHN BACON, of Augusta, to JOSIAH BOSWELL of Warren County for 37 pounds, 10 shillings, 150 acre on both sides of Uches Creek and both sides of the road leading from Barnett's Bridge to Courthouse in Augusta.

        Jan. 11th 1792.  r/Jan. 10th 1795.  JOHN ROBERTS of Wilkes County to JOSEPH HUTCHENSON for 100 pounds sterling, 300 acres on Little River, granted to said Roberts by Gov. Talfair, June 14, 1790.

        Jan. 9, 1794.  r/Jan 29, 1795.  JAS. SMITH and wife Elizabeth to NATHANIEL PEARRE for 100 pounds, 200 acres on water of Great Kiokee Creek, originally granted to JOHN SMITH by him sold to WM. CANDLER by him to EBENEZER SMITH and by him willed to son James.

        Sept. 4th 1794.  r/Jan. 29th 1795.  JOHN L. NIXON and wife Mary, to NICHOLAS HOBSON BUGG for 150 pounds, all those tracts in St. Paul's Parish, now Columbia County, consisting of:  100 acres granted to NATHAN Harris July 7th 1772.  Also a tract surveyed for DANIEL COLEMAN, June 4, 1774, adjoining aforementioned 100 acres, in all 500 acres. 

        March 3rd, 1794.  r/Jan. 30th 1795.  NATHAN JACKSON of Wilkes County, to WM. SMITH for 30 pounds a tract on Upton's Creek near "Rightsborough" granted said JACKSON by Sir JAMES WRIGHT Feb 7, 1775, bounded by PETER PERKINS and vacant lands at time of survey.  (no acreage given.  Jackson was a Quaker).

        Nov. 18th 1793.  r/Jan. 30th 1795.  Quit Claim.  WILLIAM BARNETT of Elbert County, relinquishes all right and title to a 100 acres tract granted to Nathanial JACKSON in 1775. 

        Oct. 19th 1793.  r/Jan. 30th 1795.  EDWARD UPON and wife Mary for 70 pounds sell to NATHANIEL WILLIAMS, part of a 250 acre tract granted to MARY UPTON at the time  of her widowhood by Sir JAMES WRIGHT in the fork ot eh Great Kiokee.  At the time mentioned Mrs. UPTON was widow of Eaton. 

        Sept. 5th 1793.  r/Jan. 30th 1795.  WILLIAM TRIPLETTE, Tax Collector for Wilkes County, to THOMAS STARK, SR., by virtue of a writ against land belonging to ABSOLOM JACKSON for taxes on 100 acres of land sold at auction in Columbia County, purchased by THOMAS STARKE for 16 pounds, land originally granted to BENJAMIN JACKSON, SR., on Little River in Wrightsborough Township.  (Jacksons were Quakers.)

        Oct. 23rd 1794.  r/Feb. 5th 1795.  NATHANIEL BARNETT and wife Susannah of Elbert County to CHARLES SEWALL for 80 pounds, 200 acres on Little Kiokee Creek, measured from ROSEBOROUGH'S corner stake. 

        Sept. 9th 1794.  R/Feb. 10, 1795.  MOSES MARSHALL and his wife Mary, BENJAMIN GARRISON and JOHN DOSS (?), for 80 pounds to WILLIAM BECKHAM 160 acres on Greenbriar Creek, granted to WILLIAM CHANDLER, Aug. 1st 1769, sold by him to BENJAMIN BEVANS by him, in Deed of Gift, to his four children, "begotten on the body of REBEKAH GARRISON", Mary, Benjamin Sarah and Dorcas.
