Nov. 28th 1796. r/Feb. 20, 1797. ENOCH RICHARDSON and wife Mary, to THOS. WATKINS for 35 pounds, 50 acres part of a 200 acres tract granted to DANIEL RICHARDSON, SR., in 1774, conveyed to JOHN RICHARDSON by said Daniel, and by John to Enoch, Sept. 9th 1783. Mary give up dower rights.

Sheriff EDWARDS JENKINS ordered sale of estate EPHRAIM SANDERS purchased for 50 pounds, 100 acres on Little Kiokee Creek.

Aug. 23, 1790. London England. r/Dec. 9th 1793. "in the 32nd year of the reign of King George the Third, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, GEORGE HUNT, JAMES STALLINGS and EZEKIEL STALLINGS, merchants and co-partners at this time in the City of London, goes on to state that "for some years past the firm of Hunt, Stallings and Co., carried on in Georgia the business of merchants. During their trading they became indebted to the firm of Chamberlain, Burch and Charles Ouvray for 12,000 lbs. so had assigned to Burch and Ouvray, all goods, chattels, debts, book accounts, personal estate, etc. except the wearing apparel of themselves and their families.

PETER CULBREATH and wife Jane, to CATHERINE CARR for five pounds, sell 200 acres on Little Kiokee Creek, part of tract originally granted to WILLIAM MACINTOSH, May 7, 1772, conveyed to DANIEL THWEATT, Sept. 12, 1772, part of present land exchanged with JOHN RAMSEY for another piece originally granted to WM. RAMSEY and conveyed to JOHN RAMSEY.
Jan. 17th, 1789. r/Dec. 14th 1793. PHILLIP UPTON and wife Rachael, to JOHN REEVES for 100 pounds, sell 200 acres of pine land on Great Kiokee, bounded by WM. DRANE, WILLIAM WALTON and JOSHUA FULLER. Granted to said Upton by Gov. Handley.

Jan. 19th 1780. r/July 3, 1799. WM. CANDLER of St. Paul's Parish, Esquire, sells 250 acres, lying on south side of Little River in said Parish, bounded by lands vacant at time of survey, granted to MICHAEL ILLY, Mar. 7th 1775., conveyed to CANDLER, Aug. 10th 1776. Also 100 acres in said Parish, bou9nded on east by JOHN PERKINS. All other sides vacant. Originally granted to JOHN BENNETT, July 7, 1772, who on May 30, 1774, did sell same to CANDLER. Also 300 acres in said Parish of St. Paul bounded on all sides by land vacant at the time of survey, granted to MICHAEL ILLY and conveyed to CANDLER Aug. 2, 1776. Also the lot of land in the Town of Wrightsborough, known on the plat of said town as No. 6, together with 250 acres tract in the Township of Wrightsborough, bounded by ISAAC LOW property and lands vacant. It granted July 3, 1770 unto OLIVER MATTHEWS and sold to Candler, May 24, 1770, together with all houses, mills, out-houses edifices buildings and improvements. (near all the people involved were Quakers) TELFAIR had leased all these lands for five shillings a year previous to purchase.
July 4th, 1775. r/July 18th 1799. JOHN WALTON of St. Paul's Parish, owing EDWARD TELFAIR, merchant of Savannah, some 2400 pounds, binds himself and heirs and assigns, to pay the debt. (Wording rather obscure, but Talfair, standing jointly bound with Walton, unto JOHN SIMPSON for 813 pounds, six shillings, eight pence, payable in two annual payments. It appears Telfair is willing to cancel Walton's debt to him if Walton will pay the full sum due to Simpson.
March 3rd, 1787. r/Aug. 7th 1799. Power of Attorney. JONOTHAN SELL to JOEL CLOUD and CAMM THOMAS: "Whereas, Sir. JAS. WRIGHT on the 3r of July 1770, granted to said SELL and JOSEPH MADDOCK in trust for the Quakers, 500 acres on Sweetwater Creek, intended for a cowpen". (Sell having moved to N.C.), leaves his fellow Quakers in charge of the land, "as long as there shall remain one of the people called Quakers in said place." Maddock died in 1796.
Aug. 22nd 1775. r/Aug. 21, 1799. JOHN HEARD of Wilkes County, sell to EDWARD TALFAIR, Esquire, for 100 pounds, 300 acres in Richmond County, bounded southeast by said Talfair and REES; northwest by Little River. Northeast by lands vacant. Originally granted to JOHN HEARD, Dec. 6, 1774. This tract was also leased by Talfair for five shillings, for one year.

LEONARD PEEK to JOHN WATKINS, for $428, sell 100 acres on North side of Big Kiokee Creek, originally granted to RICHARD MEADOWS, May 7th 1765, given in his will to his two sons, Enoch and Micajah by them conveyed to JOHN PEEK, by him to said Leonard. (A search of Richmond Cty. records shows that this man left no will, but disposed of his property by Deed of Gift, dated Oct. 6, 1790)

JESSE MORRIS mortgages to WILLIAM BARNETT, land adjacent to EADES, KILLINGSWORTH and STROZIER, with all crops that shall grow in the ensuing year, two feather beds and furniture, all household and kitchen furniture. Terms of mortgage: 600 lbs of clean, merchandisable cotton packed in bags, ready for market before 25th day of Dec. 1798. 700 pounds before Dec. 1, 1799. If paid, mortgage will be cancelled.
July 1st, 1797. r/Mar. 30th 1798. DAVID MAXWELL and wife Dinah, to WILLIAM COLVORD, for five shillings, 43 acres of land, including house and plantation whereon said William now lives, granted to said Maxwell on waters of Uchee Crk., adjacent BRITTAIN DAWSON.

Feb. 1795. r/Mar. 31, 1798. BENJAMIN FINNEY and wife Anne, to ZACHARIAH SPIRES (SPIERS), for five shillings, 100 acre granted to LITTLETON YARBOROUGH, whereon said Finney now lives, to include plantation and dwelling. Ann relinquishes dower.
