They are to be perfectly free and to have their personal liberty. (They were children of Anthony. He left all his estate to them in his will. He also married Chaney, June 13th 1795. Unknown what happened to the impressive inheritance, but within a few years, most of the children were "boundout" to various white planters in Columbia County)

Feb. 3rd 1784. r/Feb. 3rd 1794. Power of Attorney. JOHN SCRUGGS appoints JOSEPH BRADBERRY to receive a judgement against ENOCH GRIGSBY of Henry County, Virginia for 200 pounds, also 200 pounds damage.
Nov. 5, 1792. r/Feb. 4 1794. BENJAMIN WILLIAMS to JOHN WILLINGHAM, JR., of Richmond County, for 28 pounds, the 100 acres whereon said Willingham now lives.
Mar. 8, 1791. r/Feb. 5, 1794. JAMES HABERSHAM, Esquire of Chatham County and Hester, his wife, sell to DANIEL WILLIAMS, planter, of Columbia County, for 4000 pounds of "inspected crop tobacco", sell the "Mill Seat" with 50 acres of land on Maddock's creek (Wrightsborough), upon which has been erected a grist and saw mill. Land originally belonged to JOSEPH MADDOCK and ISAAC VERNON, Quakers. Maddock had gone backrupt in 1774 and his land sold at auction in Savannah, it was bought by HABERSHAM. VERNON had died and his share was all tied up in litigation)

JAMES HABERSHAM and wife, Hester, of Chatham County, to JACOB BULL of Wilkes County, sell part of a tract known by the name of Horsepond (Horsepens), also 200 acres known as Maddock's Home Tract, also 520 acres originally granted to Maddock and Vernon. (The horsepen tract of 1100 acres granted by Sir James Wright, in "right of the people called Quakers"), to be used communally. On a re-survey by JOHN TORRENCE, the above was found to contain 1604 acres.

(which came to Burroughs as his wife's dower.)

Apr. 18th 1794. r/Apr. 18th 1794. Deed of Lease. JOSEPH THOMAS to MARY HENDERSON for 10 acres out of 100 acre tract, to include improvements she is now making. She is not to be molested by me or my family, providing she does not lease or rent said land to anyone else.
Apr. 19th 1794. r/Apr. 18th 1794. Bill of Sale: CLEM KING HARRISON to RICHARD HARRISON for 85 pounds, one penny, sells four Negroes: Isaac, Buck, Lid and Phillis. Same day to RICHARD HARRISON for 22 pounds, 15 shillings, 11 pence, one sorrel horse, 50 barrels of corn, 1000 pounds of pork. (Clem Harrison was indicted for murder and hanged Aug. 3, 1808)
July 2nd 1794. r/July 2nd 1794. PATRICK DANELLY, for love and affection to JAMES DANELLY, (Patrick describes himself as being formerly an Indian Trader) "to my only son, a minor, born illegitimate to a white woman, all the Negroes now in my possession". Although James was a minor, Patrick did not name a guardian or trustee.
