June 20th 1796. r/Dec 10 1799. SAMUEL PAYNE, SR., to JOHN GREY for 85 pounds, a 200 acre tract on Little River bounded east by said Payne. Granted 1790 . West by EDMOND CARTLEDGE part of a grant dated Jan 19th 1773 and part of 1784 grant. Purchased by Payne from WILLIAM GREENWOOD who had it from the Sheriff. Originally owned by ANDREW MCCLAIN.
NO DATES. ROBERT GREER and wife, Mary, to JOSEPH SCOTT of Lincoln County for $750. Including the house and plantation where said Greer lives on Germany Creek.

Dec 17th 1799. Power of Attorney. ANNE SPIERS, Admtx of estate of HARRISON SPIERS, appoints SAMUEL BOWDRE to recover from Col. BENJAMIN DREW, South County, VA? all property due to estate of Harrison Spiers, deceased. (Spiers and JOSHUA BUTTS were in Virginia on a slave buying trip. On the way home they were killed by the slaves and their bodies thrown into a nearby lake)

Originally granted to LEONARD CLAIBORNE (confiscated and since held by JOHN GLENN and JNO. WALTON as tenants-in-common. Bounded by WILLIAM CASTLEBERRY, THOMAS AYRES, RICHARD CASTLEBERRY and Dr. WELCH's land. SARAH GLENN relinquishes dower.

SARAH GAGE relinquishes dower. (she was daughter of ISAAC Woods and Eleanor, daughter of DANIEL WALICON)
March 11 1797. r/Dec 5 1799. JOHN BRISCOE and wife Mary (formerly WOODS) and ELIZABETH WOODS, heirs and distributees of ISAAC and ELEANOR WOODS, deceased. Whereas, ISAAC WOODS died possessed of 500 acres, part of an 850 acre tract formerly belonging to LEONARD CLAIRBORNE on Great Kiokee Creek. Said heirs sell their share (lot No. 4) formerly granted to ELEANOR WOODS on a property division. NO price given.

DANIEL DANELLY and wife Elizabeth (PRATHER) to JAMES HAMILTON for $470, a 200 acre tract on Big Kiokee Creek, originally granted to SAMUEL MORTON; by him sold to EBENEZER SMITH; by him to MARTHA ALLISON (wife of HENRY ALLISON) and by said Henry Allison, mortgage to Danelly on May 30 1787. Mortgage foreclosed Aug. 1795.

Aug 23 1797. r/Jan 9 1800. JOHN HOWARD, Esquire, to EDWARD TELFAIR for 250 pounds, a 550 acre tract bounded by DAVID THREATT, PETER YOUNGBLOOD, JOHN CRAWFORD, JACOB HORN. Originally granted to JOHN HOWARD, Sept 16 1774. Telfair had it on a year's lease before he bought it.

Jan 2 1800. r/Jan 11 1800. THOMAS CARR, Attorney, to SEABORN JONES of Augusta, Attorney, for five dollars, sells all title to 1320 acres on the Trading Road, adj. Danelly and others. Late the property of RICHARD CALL, deceased. Also another tract on Boggy Gut Creek, property of Call, deceased. Lately seized on suit of JOHN RAY against the Call estate, sold at auction by WALTER DRANE, Sheriff and purchased by said Carr.

JOSHUA GRINAGE to EDMUND BLUNT for $750, sells 500 acre granted Oct 4 1774 to Sir Patrick HOUSTON, said tract devised to GEORGE WOODRUFF in right of his wife, in the division of the estate of Sir. GEORGE HOUSTON, who was a sole heir of Sir Patrick, Sold by Woodruff to Grinage, April 10th last. (will recorded Savannah, Nov 1785).

HUNT, attorney for his father, HENRY HUNT, to WILLIAM and THOMAS HUNT, brothers of the said Fitz: by advice and my instructions (receive) as an attorney, I do convey unto William and Thomas HUNT a tract of land on Greenbriar and Cane Creeks, containing 700 acres granted by Sir James Wright on Sept 1st 1767 to LEONARD CLAIBORNE and purchased at sale by HENRY HUNT.

Daughters, Nancy Moore, Patsy Knight, Suckey Morton, Doshia (who married her cousin Yarborough) Grandaughter Doshia Morton, son-in-law Woodson KNIGHT and children of Nancy Moore. (Note: This was not the signer of the Declaration of Independence)

Nov 20th 1801. r/Mar 4 1802. ELIZABETH MCCORMICK, otherwise known as ELIZABETH KILGORE, ANNE REED, ELIZABETH MAYS, NANCY and POLLY MCCORMICK, sells to JAMES BOYD, a tract containing 100 acres for $300, part of a 500 acre grant to ELIZABETH CRITTENDON on Savannah River, south of said Boyd. Mrs. McCormick makes affidavit that she is at present residing in Abbeville, S.C., but possessing a free hold in Columbia County, Georgia and regards herself as a citizen of that county and state.
