The records are from St. Paul's Dist., Richmond Co., Columbia
Co.,
Warren Co., GA.
I am trying to find connections to Collinson WATERS
(b. bef. 1775 , NC - d. abt 1827, Hall Co., GA). Collinson WATERS m. (1) Elizabeth
Newland CASTLEBERRY (2) Stacy/Stacie BENTON (from an earlier researcher
- I have never found a marriage record for either of these marriages).
Collinson WATERS was named as a grandson of Collinson JOHNSON (see will 1795, Jones
Co., NC) whose dau. m. William WATERS and had son Collinson.
Collinson
JOHNSON's wife was Leah LITTLETON. Their dau. m. Jacob GRANADE
who d. in
Warren Co., GA; guardianship of children given to Edmund
JOHNSON.
Questions:
1. Was James WATERS, who assigned his Richmond Co., GA, grant of Aug 1774,
to Richard CASTLEBERRY, connected with Collinson Waters
(b. bef 1775, d. abt
1827, Hall Co., GA) who m. (1) Elizabeth Newland CASTLEBERRY?
2. Was James WATERS
connected to John WATERS from NC, 1763, land above Briar Ck betw Boggy Gut &
Savannah Riv.?
3. James WATERS was wit. to a deed 11 Apr 1789, Richmond Co.,
GA, when James DANNELLY sold land. Was Elizabeth Newland CASTLEBERRY who m.
Collinson WATERS related to Martha CASTLEBERRY who m. 1828 in Warren Co., John
DANIELLY?
