CARR, Thomas (Rev. soldier)  s/Jan 10th 1820.  p/Nov 18 1820. (he married 2nd Fanny Lowe, widow, Columbia Count, May 3 1813)  Heirs:  "Beloved wife, Fanny.  She is to have estate known as Gardensville and live in the mansion house; 450 acres, plantation tools, furniture, negroes, riding carriage, cream horses and my gold watch.  At her death, to go to the children of her son, Thomas Lowe".  Son William Anthony Carr.  The plantation called Alexandria whereon I now reside, consisting of two acres granted to John Lee; three acres granted  in my own name and two to name of Anderson Crawford, on waters of Germany Creek.  Also my bookcase and books.  Son Dabney Carr, Grandson Thomas Carr Ware, the tract called Dogget's place,261 acres.  Granddaughter Susan Ware, "My lovely daughter, Susan Ware, wife of Col. Nicholas Ware."  "My lovely daughter" Selina Few, wife of Col. Ignatius Few, married Columbia County, Aug 11th 1811.  "My old servants, Yam and Muggy and a little girl, Matilda, who, by the laws of this State, I cannot set free, to have 50 acres and a cabin.  One cow and calf, one sow and pigs, 20 bushels of corn, working tools and the old mule Bet.  they are to labor for the own benefit."  NOTE:  The old house "Alexandria", built in 1802 is still standing in 1966 on the Wrightsborough-Augusta Road.  Exr. CARRELL, William (non-cupative)  p/May 24th 1844.  We, William Jones, Benjamin Verdery, James Prather and Samuel Johnson, were present at the residence of William Carrell, a widower, about 40 hours before his death.  He called upon us to take notice of what he was about to say:  Plantation to be divided between sons, John and James, Daughter Emily McGruder, household and kitchen furniture.   Son-in-law John McGruder, my gold lot in Cherokee County.  John, James and Elizabeth to divide plantation utensils.  The wagon and still to go with the plantation.

Torrence and wife Jane.  NOTE:  I have considerably more money owing to me than I owe, but am certain a large portion of it will never be collected.  Therefore, the estate is to be kept together for three years and the crops for those years to be applied to my debts.  My Exrs. are to furnish my son Thomas, with all necessaries of life.  his maintenance not to exceed $150 annually.  They are not to put one dollar in his possession or control and the estate is not to be liable for any debts he may contract.  If he should give sufficient evidence of his having abandoned the dreadful habit of intemperance, he shall receive his portion of my estate, but if he should relapse, the Executors shall again take possession.  Three thousand acres of land to be divided.  Exrs.
