Hudson Family Bible

I have this bible I found in my grandfather's things in 1999 when he died.

 

1st page:New York:American Bible Society 1844

cursive in pencil "J.F. Hudson"

Bible badly damaged by water? insects, ink, acids, age

appears resewn by hand, ruled notebook paper added to center, mildewed, appears organic possible homemade ink used with fountain pen to "highlight" passages

 

center hand sewn insert reads: "Mack was folded March 7, 1860".  Facing page: "Deaths William Bryant Oct 3 1855 aged 9 years 5 months and 17 days 
Willmouth Elizabeth Bryant died Oct 16 1855 Mary Bryant died 2nd Sept. 1855 aged 84 years".

 

Next page of insert is cursive in pencil and reads "J.E. Hudson" 5 times

Below that reads:"Miss Fannie Bryant was borned 1856 Feb 16 age 16"

"Mary Jane Hudson daughter of James and Nancy Hudson was borned 16 Sept 1837

William Bryant son of John and Nancy Bryant was borned 16th of April 1846

John Lafayette Bryant son of John and Nancy Bryant was borned 28th Oct 1847

Willmouth Elizabeth Bryant daughter of John and Nancy Bryant was borned July 11, 1853

Emmett Roscoe Johns son was borned Dec 8 1869

Phillip Schofill died March the 31 1891 age 89 years old".

James F. HUDSON (ca 1813 to before 12 Jan 1845)

 

then at his death was with his wife

 

Nancy Ann TUCKER HUDSON BRYANT (1 Dec 1813 to 12 Dec 1901) buried in Society Hill Cem. Crawford Co.

 

then was with their son

 

Joseph Ephriam HUDSON (1 August 1831 to 5 May 1895) buried in Society Hill Cem.

 

then his son

 

James Russell "Ruffin" HUDSON (19 April 1857 to 27 Oct 1939) buried in Society Hill Cem.

 

then his son

 

Cauley Clinton HUDSON (9 Jan 1896 to 11 Feb 1974) buried at Sardis Cemetery in Bibb County

 

then his nephew

 

Jonathan Earl RUCKS, Sr. (25 Sep 1919 to 4 July 1999) buried beside his grandfather  James Russell "Ruffin" HUDSON in Society Hill Cem.

I have the bible.  I am the GGGG granddaughter of James F. HUDSON & Nancy Ann TUCKER HUDSON BRYANT.  She had remarried John BRYANT after James F. HUDSON died.  The children listed are mainly theirs.  Most of these are buried in the Society Hill Cemetery in Crawford County though I believe the name of the church has changed to Victory Baptist.  My family members were Congregationalist Methodists from back in 1815 when the church began and was Methodist.
