"Whittington, Sharod/Sherrod (dec.)
Hardy Ray, Jesse B. Long & Fred Hartley as appraisors (sworn 2 December 1842
by E. Joyner, JP) returned an inventory & appraisement of the estate as
shown to them by Lovy Whittington as Administrator. Included were Land Lot
No. 27, 3rd Dist., Crawford Co. at $300, 152 acres Land Lot No. 37, 6th Dist.,
same originally Houston Co., and 101 1/2 acres of Land Lot No. 274, 1st Dist.,
Talbot County. Notes & accounts included were (some illegible):
Ebenezer James, John L. Williams, Henry Wright, E. P. Turner, John Whittington,
Irwin Whittington, George R. Hunter, Jesse Aultman, Mr. Walton, William Bustle,
Michael Hartley, Jefferson Whittington."

1844…..The Estate of Sherod Whittington In account with Lovy Whittington, admr.,
To gathering the crop on hand at the death of deceased - $100.00 To Keeping 6
horses six months - $30.00 To attention to 33 head of cattle - $18.00 To
attention to sheep & hogs - $12.00 (Total) $160.00
