Parker, Mildred White
ROBERTA - Funeral services for Mildred White Parker, 87, will be held at 2P.M. Tuesday, April 4 at the Pleasant Hill Congregational Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery. -Mrs. Parker died April 2, 2006. -Born November 10, 1918 in Houston County, Georgia, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Huff White of Kathleen. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Congregational Christian Church and a long-standing member of the Homemakers Club. She was very special and loved by the community. -Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Joe" Parker, daughter Kathryn Parker, sister Margaret Tinsley and brothers, Robert, Alfred and Charles White. -Survivors: children, sister; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. -Donations may be sent to Pleasant Hill Congregational Christian Church, c/o 2088 Zenith Mill Road, Roberta, GA 31078. -The family will receive friends at Rooks Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 3. -Rooks Funeral Home of Fort Valley has charge of arrangements.

Starnes, Oscar J. Jr.
ROBERTA - Oscar J. Starnes, age 81, died Sunday, April 2, 2006. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2P.M. at the Roberta United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Roberta City Cemetery. -Mr. Starnes was a life-long resident of Crawford County. He was the owner and founder of Western Auto of Roberta. He was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church and had served on the Roberta City Council for many years. He was also a World War II Veteran. -Survivors include; wife, sons, step-daughters, grandson, and step-granddaughter. -Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. -Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. -Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta has charge of the arrangements.

Willis, Priscilla Reeves
ROBERTA - Services for Priscilla Ann Reeves Willis are 2P.M., Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Macedonia Baptist Church with interment in Bethel Cemetery. Willis, 37, a Macedonia member, passed Sunday. -Survivors include husband, children, mother, and siblings. -Hicks and Sons Funeral Home, Roberta.
