Clark, Tyesha Teionna Howard
Infant daughter of Tonya Howard of Roberta and Tyrone Clark of Warner
Robins, died Wednesday, August 15, 2001. Survivors in addition to her
parents include a brother, of Roberta; grandparents; great-grandmothers; uncles and aunt; and
many great and great-great aunts and uncles,
cousins and other relatives and family friends. Services were held
Saturday, August 18, 2001 at Bethel Baptist Church in Roberta. Bentley and
Sons Funeral Home in Roberta had charge of arrangements.
Lucas, Jay J.
80, of Hiawassee, died Saturday, August 18, 2001 in Lanier Park Hospital in
Gainsville. Born March 31, 1921 in Osceola County, Michigan, he was the
son of the late John and Hannah Kleinhesselink Lucas. He was a U.S. Air
Force vetran and retired as an electronics engineer with the U.S. Government.
After retiring he moved to Hiawassee in 1982. He had been a member of the
Towns County Lions Club and had been recycling coordinator for Towns County. He
was of the Dutch Christian Reformed faith. Survivors include his wife,
daughter and son-in-law; sisters;
brother; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 24, 2001 at the chapel of Cochran
Funeral Home in Hiawassee,
with Dr, Roy Lockwood officiating. Memorials may be made to the American
Cancer Society. Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee had charge of
arrangements.
Mathis, Agnes Easler
66, of Fort Valley died Friday, August 10, 2001. A native of Crawford
County, she was a retired Southern Bell operator and a member of Pleasant Hill
Congressional Christian Church. She was the widow of the late Nathan C. Mathis,
Sr. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Easter, and was also preceded
in death by sister, Corine Merritt. Survivors include her children; sister and brothers and
spouses;
four nieces; two nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a very special
friend. Services were held Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at
Pleasant Hill Congressional Christian Church in Roberta, with burial in the
church cemetery. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley had charge of arrangements.
