McGee, Homer Cleveland
ROBERTA - Homer Cleveland McGee, 91, died Saturday, February 4, 2006. Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Roberta United Methodist Church with Rev. James Hamlin and Rev. Tom Johnson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his wife, Louise McGee. -Mr. McGee was born in Crawford County and lived here most of his life. He was retired as a self-employed plumbing and electrical contractor and was the oldest member of the Roberta United Methodist Church. He was the oldest Crawford County army veteran having served during World War II, and was also a member of the American Legion Organization and the Kiwanis Club. -Survivors include his son,
daughter, sisters, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. -Visitation will be held at the Roberta United Methodist Church on Monday, February 6, starting at 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral. -Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta has charge of the arrangements.
Wiggins, Willie "Bill" L. Jr.
ROBERTA - USMC Gunnery Sergeant Willie L. Wiggins, Jr. (retired) passed away February 16, 2006. Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be held Sunday at 3P.M. in the Roberta City Cemetery. Rev. Mac Goddard will officiate. -After many years away from home, in 1986 he returned to Crawford County to live. Sgt. Wiggins retired from the Marines in 1975, after serving in Vietnam. He was a life member of VFW and a member of NRA. -He is survived by his wife,
sons, daughters, step-children, one brother, two sisters, six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, GA 31201. -Visitation will be held Saturday evening 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. -Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta has charge of the arrangements.
