Aultman, Alice Thames

Mrs. Alice D. Aultman, 86, a native of Crawford County, died at her home in the
Rutland District yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock after an illness of a
week. She is survived by seven children, four sons and three daughters, and 35
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aultman was in comparatively
good health until she contracted influenza. Her husband James Aultman died four
years ago. Two years ago Mrs. Aultman moved from Houston County, where she had
moved from Crawford county. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in
Crawford county and the funeral will be held at Union Church in Crawford county
Sunday morning at 11 o’clock. Mrs. Aultman is survived by the following sons
and daughters: G. W., C. C., J. E., and M. Aultman, all of Rutland; Mrs. C. C.
Hudson, of Houston County, and Mrs. H. L. Fullwood and Mrs. J. H. Thomas, of
Skipperton. Two brothers and two sisters also survive. Note: Alice was the
daughter of George Washington Thames and Sarah "Sallie" F. Hardison Thames of
Crawford County, GA. Alice’s sons were George William, Claude Clarence, James
Ellis and Matthew Lamar Aultman. Her daughters were Elizabeth "Lizzie" Fulwood,
Bertha Mae Hudson and Beulah Agnes Thomas. *****Submitted by
