MRS. ISRAEL
The graveside service for Mrs. Mamie Hams Israel, of Jacksonville, Fla.,
formerly of Sumter County, who died Thursday night in Jacksonville, is planned
Sunday al 2:30 p.m. from Williams Cemetery near Smithville. The Americus
Chapter No. 63, Order of Eastern Star, will conduct the rites. Mrs. Israel was
a native of Roberta and lived in Sumter
County many years, teaching In the Lee Comity school system prior to moving to
Jacksonville. She was the daughter of the late James E. Harris and Mrs. Marnie
Burnett Harris, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Baptist Church.
She was the widow of David D. Israel. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Pearl
H. Usry, Jacksonville; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anna Kearce. Americus, and
Mrs. Bessie Nunnally, Atlanta; three brothers-in-law, R. A. Israel,
Americus. J. P. Israel, Dawson, and Floyd Israel, Union City, Ga. Reese Park
Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
