Bailey, Libby Jordan
W. MILFORD, NJ - Services/Interment for Libby Jordan Bailey are 11A.M.
Saturday at Springhill Baptist Church, Crawford County. Bailey, 89, a Crawford
County native, former Maconite/Middle Georgian for 79 years and Mt. Lebanon
Missionary Baptist Church (Macon) member, expired Sunday. Daughter of the late
Cecil Boise and Floria Lou Jordan, she was the widow of King Clinton Bailey. The family
will receive friends Friday, 7:00 until 8:30P.M. at Hicks & Sons-Macon.

Bartlett, Catherine Spann Bartlett
MACON - Catherine Spann Bartlett, 73, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, in a
local hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002, at
11:00AM in the Chapel at Hart's Mortuary. Mrs. Bartlett was of the Baptist faith
and worked in bookkeeping for local accounting firms for most of her adult life. Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
Brown, Evelyn Harmon
75, of Byron died Tuesday, July 16, 2002. She was born in Marion County. She was
a homemaker and was a member of Bethany Baptist Chapel in Lizella.
Services were held Saturday, July 20, 2002 at the
Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery
in Taylor County. David Hunt officiated. Memorials may be made to Bethany
Bible Chapel, P.O. Box 158, Lizella, GA 31052. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron

Chapman, H. N. "Bill"
72,of Macon died Friday, July 5,2002 in a local hospital after an extended
illness. Born in Crawford County, he was the son of the late David E. and
Naomi Hudson Chapman. He was retired from Riverwood International with 40 years
of service. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Bethesda Baptist Church.
A brother, Herbert Chapman, also preceded him in death.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 8,2002 at Macon Memorial Park
Cemetery. Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Edwards, Margaret E.
Died July 3,2002. She was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Navy
Nursing Corps. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Graveside
services will be announced at a later date.

BYRON - Cheryl Denise "Sherri" Foskey Gunter, 41, died July 15, 2002.
Services: 2P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2002 in the chapel of Rooks Funeral Home in
Byron. Rev. Frank Chapman will officiate. She was born in Macon and was a
homemaker. The
family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at
Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron has charge of
arrangements.
Rose, Billy Dale
48 of Byron died Monday, July 29, 2002. He was born in Kentucky.
He worked as a driver with Transport Trucking Company. Survivors include
his wife; children; mother;
sister; uncle and aunt Ed and Kim Gordon of Crawford
County. Services were held Thursday, August 1, 2002 at the chapel of Rooks
Funeral Home in Byron, with burial following in Parkway Memorial Gardens in
Warner Robins. Rooks Funeral Home of Byron had charge of arrangements.
Rowland, Albert
80, of Byron died Friday, July 5, 2002. A native of Crawford County, he had
resided in Byron since 1985. He served in the Civil Conservation Corps and
subsequently served in the Wildcat Division during World War II. He founded and
operated Rowland Printing Company in Macon for 31 years and had served as
president of Macon Printers Association. He was co-founder and president of
Powersville Opry and was a member musician of the house band and of several
other local gospel groups. He attended the First Assembly of God in Warner
Robins. Services were held Monday, July 8,
2002 in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial in Macon
Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Macon
