Wilson, Clarence Edward, 86, died Saturday in a Peach
County Hospital. Graveside services were held Monday at the Roberta City
Cemetery. Mr. Wilson, a native and life long resident of Crawford County
was a retired saw mill operator and a veteran of WWI. Survivors include
his wife, Sarah Mathews Wilson of Roberta. Daughters Jo Ann Moran of Dublin.
Mary Giles of Fort Valley, and Vivian Suiter of Bonita Springs, Florida. 2
sisters Lucile Shattles of Dawson, and
Gladys Lunsford of Fort Valley, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta had charge of arrangements.
Belcher, Lois Mitchell, 81, died Sunday at her residence. Funeral
services were held Tuesday, May 20th at the House of Prayer Evangelistic Church
with interment at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayetteville. Rev.
Heyward Joyner officiated. Mrs. Belcher, a native of Fayette County had
lived in Crawford County for 29 years. She was a
Homemaker and member of the House of Prayer Evangelistic Church in Crawford
County. Survivors include her
husband Willie R. Belcher of Musella, 2 sons Thomas Smith of Fruithurst,
Alabama. and Donald Smith of Griffin, daughters Louise Wallace, and Barbara
Smith of Musella and Margaret Corley of Sunnyside. 8 grandchildren. 11 great
grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Goddard Funeral Home of
Roberta had charge of arrangements.
