Bentley, Benita Serena "Rena"
MACON - Memorial services for Benita Serena Bentley "Rena" will be 3P.M. Monday in New Piney Grove Baptist Church on Straight Street. -Born in Bibb County to the late Sandy Montford, Sr., Benita was educated in the Crawford County School System and graduated in 1984. She was a US Army Veteran after 5 years of service. Formerly a Sales Adjuster at Geico, Ben- ita furthered her education at Wesleyan College, where she earned a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Education. She was a member of New Piney Grove Baptist Church. -Survivors: husband, Darryl K. Bentley, Macon; children, Natalyn, Darius and Breanna, Macon; mother, Clara Montford; brothers, Sandy Montford, Jr. and Wallace Montford, all of Roberta; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin J. Bentley, Sr. of Lizella; several brothers and sisters-in-law; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. -The family may be contacted at the residence of Mrs. Clara Montford, 911 Girl Scout Rd., Roberta and 2816 Deeb Dr., Macon. -In lieu of flowers, please make donation to her Children Scholarship Fund, P.O. Blalock, Howard Edward
CULLODEN - Graveside services for Howard Edward Blalock will be held at 2P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Blalock, age 77, died Thursday, May 30, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisha and Fannie Hanney Blalock. -He was born in Gwinnett County, GA, and had lived most of his life in Crawford County. He was owner of a gas and grocery business and a retired Crawford County school bus driver. He was a World War II veteran and of Baptist faith. -Survivors include his wife, Jackie Blalock of Culloden, GA: his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Marsha Blalock of Fort Valley, GA; two daughters, Jan Blalock of Cartersville, GA and Pam Howell of Roberta, GA; two brothers, Marvin Blalock of Manchester, GA and Jack Blalock of Georgetown, AL; a sister, Elaine Wilson of Ellenwood, GA; a grandchild, Bubba Blalock of Fort Valley, GA. -Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, Butler, GA. -Goddard Funeral Home of Roberta has charge of arrangements.

Cauley, Linda
MACON - Linda Cauley, 48, died Thursday, May 30, 2002. Services will be Tuesday, 1P.M. at Central Church of Christ in Macon with burial in Colphin Family Cemetery, Crawford County. -Viewing in Macon: Monday, 4:00 until 8:00P.M., at Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Tuesday, 12:00 until 1:00P.M. at the church. -The family can be contacted at the residence of Barbara Green, HWY 341 S. -Roberta

Childress, Marion H.
84 of Fort Valley died Saturday, May 4, 2002.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Walker.  Survivors include her children, Constance Walker of Fort Valley, and Elizabeth Moore of Columbus; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  Services will be private.  Rooks Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Cochran, Julius C. Cochran
76, of Bainbridge died Saturday, May 11, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. Born December 1, 1925 in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Hattie Lee Cochran.  He moved to Bainbridge in 1955. He attended Eldorendo Baptist Churchin Eldorendo.  He was retired after 25 years as manager of the Trailways Bus Depot in Bainbridge and also was a cab driver in Bainbridge for a number of years.  He was an avid fisherman and Atlanta Braves fan.  He was also a member of the Coffee Club at The Golden Coral in Bainbridge.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Nix Cochran of Bainbridge; sons, Jim Smith of Crawfordville, Florida, Carl Smith of Bainbridge, and Johnny Smith of Tallahassee, Florida; daughters, Sue Youngblood of Roberta, Laverne Goodwin of Dallas, Texas, Ruth Shuford of St. Theresa, Florida, and Carolyn Welch of Tallahassee, Florida; brother, Bobby Cochran of Roberta; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday, May 13, 2002 at Cox Chapel in Bainbridge, with burial at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge. Reverend Tommy Long Officiated. Eberhardt, Nadine Davis
77, of Byron died Saturday, May 18, 2002 in Houston County.  Born August 9, 1924 in Marion County, she had lived in Byron for the past six years, after moving there from California.  She was a member of Zenith Road Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and a loving, devoted wife and mother.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark Davis and Effie Wiggins Davis, and by her husband, Aubrey Eberhardt.  Survivors include a son, Ray Eberhardt of Auburn, California; a daughter, Audrey Mathews of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Gailynn Robinson of Lafayette, Michelle Terrell of Byron, Andrea Peterman of Oglethorpe, and Stacey Eberhardt and Erin Eberhardt, both of Auburn, California; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several neices and nephews.  Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at Zenith Road Baptist Church.  Memorials may be made to Zenith Road Baptist Church.  Goddard Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Foskey, John Wayne
43, of Warner Robins died Friday, May 10, 2002 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Bibb County to Shelly Reynolds and the late John Edwards Foskey, he was a graduate of Central High School in Macon. He was a member of Log Cabin Baptist Church and had been employed with Boeing Corporation. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Foskey.  Survivors include his wife, Cathy Foskey of Warner Robins; children, Amy Foskey, Jonathan Foskey, Jessica Foskey, Michael Foley, Ashley Foley, Michelle Foley, and Chad Foley, all of Warner Robins; parents, Shelly and Paul Reynolds of Macon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Hank Kramer of Rocksprings, JoAnn and David Sandelin of Musella, and Ginger and Tony Barbee of Macon; four grandchildren; and Mrs. and Mr. Harry R. Wilder.  Services were held Monday, May 13,2002 at the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial in Macon Memorial Park.  Reverends Charles Handson and Jesse Richardson officiated.  Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. *****Transcribed by Janice Gordon

Ivey, Eddie Jr.
73 of Roberta died Monday, May 20, 2002.  Survivors include his wife, Alma Ivey; sons, Charlie E. Ivey, Tony L. Ivey, and Charles E. Ivey; daughters, Lorene Johnson, Bassie L. Ivey and Flora M. Ivey; sister, Bessie Mae Raines; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  Services were held Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Salem Baptist Church in Upson County, with burial in the church cemetery.  Bentley & Sons Funeral Home of Roberta had charge of arrangements.
