Death of Mr. J.M. Hobbs
Last Sunday morning at one o’clock Mr. J.M. Hobbs died at his home in Crawford
County, of dropsy of the heart. He was quite an old man and highly
esteemed by all who knew him. He was the father of Mr. Frank Hobbs who is
connected with this paper. His remains were interred at Bethel church,
about eleven miles below Butler in Taylor County, the old family burial place. –
Montezuma Record
Mr. Hobbs once lived in Taylor County not far from Tazewell and will no doubt be
remembered by many people in that section. *****Submitted by
