Moncrief, Crawford
Reverend Crawford Moncrief, 61, Editor and Publisher of The Times and The Georgia Post, and Pastor of the Fort Valley and Society Hill Congregational Churches, passed away early Tuesday morning at his home.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3:00 pm at the Knoxville Methodist Church with the Reverend A. C. Prickett, Reverend Swol Sawyer and Reverend Paul Webb conducting the services. Masonic rites were held at the gravesite and burial was in the Roberta Cemetery.  Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Annie L. Culverhouse; one daughter, Mrs. Gene Hudgins, Atlanta; two sons, Crawford, Jr. of East Point and Alton, of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; a brother, N. B. Moncrief, Jamaica, NY; and an aunt, Mrs. Lucy Lewis of Thomaston.  Honorary pallbearers were: Messrs. Greer Grace, W. T. Jones, R. L. Dickey, William Lowe, J. T. Stewart, Hoy Dent and H. C. Davis.  Active pallbearers were: Messrs. Wade Seagler, H. W. Maples, O. J. Dent, Malcolm Smith, H. C. McGee, E. E. Mathews and C. R. DuBose.*****Submitted by Toni Holman ←
