Prince, Minnie Lee Britt & Oscar Clellan
This is a marriage photo of Minnie Lee Britt Prince and Oscar Clellan Prince, Sr., December 24, 1904
Minnie Lee Britt was the wife of Oscar Clellan Prince, Sr., daughter of Henry N. Britt and Elizabeth Betsy Miller, sister of Lewis Miles Britt,  and great aunt of Rozine Britt Bickel.  She is buried at the Miller Cemetery, which is aka Miller / Spillers / Bond Cemetery on Hwy#341N from Roberta.  She was born December 18, 1874 and died July 30, 1952. Oscar Clellan Prince, Sr., was the son of Oliver Hillyard Prince and Amanda Favor.  Oscar and Minnie had 3 children:  Ruth, Oscar Clellan Prince, Jr., and Ralph Lee Prince.  Oscar Clellan Prince, Sr. and Minnie Lee are both buried at the Miller Cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie Prince Dies In Washington
Mrs. Minnie Prince, widow of Oscar Cellean Prince, of Ft. Valley, died in Washington, D. C., early Wednesday after a brief illness. Mrs. Prince, the former Miss Minnie Britt, was born in Crawford County, the daughter of Henry Britt and Mrs. Ava Griffin Britt.  She was visiting her daughter in Washington when stricken.  She was a member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Roberta.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Prescott Dennett, Washington; two sons, O. C. Prince, Ft. Valley, Ralph Prince, Macon; two grandaughters, Patsy and Linda Prince, Macon; a sister, Mrs. Mary Revell, Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Providence Primitive Church at Roberta at 4 p.m. Saturday.  Elder C. E. Darity will officiate and burial will be in the Miller Cemetery near Roberta. The body will lie in sate in the church from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Hart's Mortuary is in charge funeral arrangements. Note:  The statement that Minnie's mother was Ava Griffin Britt, is incorrect.  Minnie's parents were Henry N. Britt and Elizabeth Betsy Miller-Britt; both of Crawford County, Georgia.  Minnie is found in Crawford County by census for the years 1880 and 1900.  She is also listed as daughter in the Last Will of Elizabeth Betsy Miller-Britt.

Prince, Ruth
This is a baby picture of Ruth Prince
Ruth Prince Dennett was the wife of Prescott Freese Dennett and daughter of Minnie Lee Britt Prince and Oscar Clellan Prince, Sr.  Ruth was born December 26, 1905 and died March 25, 2002.  Both Ruth and her husband, Prescott are buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Photo #1:  US Highway 341 South of Roberta.  This place still stood until about a year ago when it was torn down.  It stood empty for years as I drove by it every day.  I often wondered about it's history, if anyone knows anything about it, please let me know.
