Aultman, Becham, Bryant, Hudson????? I am forwarding these old photographs in hopes that someone with a link to these families knows who they might be. These were in the things of Cawley & Bertha Hudson. It is highly likely that they are of the following families: HUDSON, BECHAM, AULTMAN, BRYANT and any of the allied/linked families! Look and see if you recognize any of these people.
Photo #7 - These are Crawford/Bibb County boys. I have the original and
can only identify the young man on the viewer's far left. That is
Cawley Clinton HUDSON (1895-1974)
Photo #8 - I love this little tattered and torn picture of a young woman found in the personal photos of Cawley Clinton HUDSON & Bertha Mae AULTMAN HUDSON. This is an original
Thank you so much!
Submitted by Carolina Anita Rucks ← Additional Notes submitted by Cheryl Aultman ← Don't forget to add Thames to the list of names for the photos. Bertha Aultman Hudson was the daughter of James Aultman and Alice Thames and the photos could be from the Thames line too. The first photo (little girl with smaller boy) is most likely the children of Beulah Agnes Aultman & her first husband, John Henry Thomas; Buelah Mae Thomas (b. 1913) & her younger brother Cecil. |

GILES/TURNER/WHITTINGTON?
This photo/portrait (11x14) accompanied another of same size, same frame, etc. of Julie Ann F. (Giles - daughter of William and Elizabeth Giles) Rowland whose husband was John Crum Rowland, to my parents' home from my grandmother's effects. Grandma Rowland's mother was Ann Eliza (Turner) Mathews who died abt. 1901 in Crawford County. She was married to William H. Mathews. [Ann Eliza's mother was Vashti (Whittington) Turner who died before 1900. My guess is that this mystery lady must surely be one of these ladies:
Elizabeth (Hardison) Giles ( 1813 -
1880), mother of Julie Ann,
Ann Eliza (Turner) Mathews (1857 - abt
1901), my Grandmother Rowland's mother
Vashti (Whittington) Turner (1824? -
1886?), mother of Ann Eliza
As I have another family photo of Julie Ann
and John's family made no later than 1900, it would seem that Julie
Ann's very similar photo/portrait to my mystery lady was made circa
1880.
Thanks for any hlep in putting a name
to this distinguished-looking lady.

Reeves, James Milton & ????? This picture, which was just recently identified, appears to be a professional portrait photo of James with two of his sons. I've had it in my possession for almost 20 years, but didn't know who it was until I was given the picture above by a cousin in Upson County. I inherited the portrait photo from my father, who probably got it from his father, G.G. Reeves, son of James, who died while living with my father and mother in his old age. James is the one seated with a fiddle. The identity of the two sons is not known at this point, but if you would be so kind as to also post it in the "Unidentified photos" section, perhaps someone will recognize the two sons.
